@floss, thank you! It is denim drift by dulux - it is a lot bluer than the tester pot but I don't know if that is because there is so much of it and it is reflecting on itself iyswim? I love it, dh wasn't sure when the room was finished but as he doesn't do decorating and I love it, it is staying. He doesn't mind it as much with the furniture in the room to break up some of the colour! @Florenceem I love the bunnies!2024 decluttering Campaign

Now up to 4 23 minute missions: went through a box with hanging files resulting in a wodge of paper and envelopes now in the appropriate recycling; a second wodge that needs shredding and a box with a lot of empty hanging files. I've kept 10 pieces of paper...and it certainly won't stay empty for long.
1108-1127: items to bin
1128-1237: stuff to recycling (a good week for cans!)
1138: checked post hadn't got mixed in before recycling leaflets from the communal hallway.
1139-1141: binbags to the downstairs wheely bin
1142-1144: 150 emails deleted
1145-1150: supermarket bags returned to delivery driver, kerching!
Deferred decision
188: framed a print I'd bought during first lockdown using a frame I already owned...
189: cleared some tax paperwork that is over 7 years old
Hoping for an improvement in the weather forecast for next week, looking like heavy snow the day before I travel then sleet the day I'm coming back‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

4. Deal with daily mail immediately
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Worked on the cryptic crossword for a few minutes but then realised the time so started making dinner. DH went for his 2nd walk & hit his 11,000 steps target for Day 2 of his challenge 👏 No problems at all 🥳 Enough mushroom & chicken risotto left for risotto cakes for another 3 person dinner. Wudupa.
741 - 747 Kitchen recycling, 5 plastic cartons washed & dried, drinks cans - recycled

Wow grandmanerd, talk about being busy yesterday both upstairs & downstairs🤩 Excellent decluttering, tidying & cleaning 👏 No wonder DS3 said you had done enough - I was exhausted just reading about your day 🤩
Excellent decluttering of art supplies diminua 👏 I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ for doing so well on your decluttering 🙂
Sorry to hear that you are so ill weenancy ☹️ & that you are not alone as your roommates seem to be suffering also 😔 Fingers crossed that between you & your roommates you can manage to get the bed out but please be very careful 🙏 You for one can do without any further injuries 😔 Great work cleaning the bathroom 👏 & good luck with the kitchen 🍀 Hopefully the weather will improve enough that you get the internet back in full working order 🤞
You do need to keep your blood sugar up GrannyKate especially as you are being so active wagging finger emoji 😔 so it is a good job you had been shopping 😉 Eclectic decluttering 👏 & yippee to your win being doubled 🥳Good luck finding your box of postcards 🍀 & wishing you many more competition wins 😊
Excellent decluttering retiredinfrance 👏 One Gold Star ⭐️ coming your way for passing one quarter of your 365 target 🙂 I think DH is enjoying walking at the momoment because ‘touch wood’ no rain 😉
vulpix, I learn something new every day - I didn’t realise you could grow new plants that way 🙂Hopefully Foofoopuppy still has access to the succulent 🤞 Good luck with the 3rd curtain 🍀
weenancy, wow hail in Anaheim 😬 & I believe there are still people denying climate change 🤔
Good work TC77 👏
Excellent decluttering short_bird 👏
How serendipitous regnbue 😊 You were obviously not meant to find your arran jumper just so that you would go into that store & buy a lovely new jumper & at a knock down price 👏 You will probably find the jumper in the first place you look now that you have a spare 😉
Very exciting vulpix - a new kitchen once the building work has been done 😊 & with your builder being so busy it means that you have time to save up 👏 Well done on sacking your useless dentist & signing on with MrV’s dentist 👏 Hopefully changing your address re Premium Bonds will be just as quick as the online work 🤞 MrSD is definitely a lot better today & has just had a bath 😊 As I mentioned he has promised me that he will only walk locally for the next 3 days 😮💨 Thank you for your concern about the time I spend cheerleading but I have to confess I prefer cheerleading to decluttering 😉😉 nudge, nudge 🤣
Moorviews, that is why MrSD was so annoyed after preparing so carefully & then the first day of the challenge he forgets to eat 😔 Thank you for your kind words about the cheerleading 👏 please see my reply to vulpix 🙂 I think exciting is a great word to use when fortune favours you 😊
QueenJess, I will deliver your hug to MrSD 🙂 Mission accomplished 23:32 2nd March 😉 Keep up the good work blitzing the online account/password malarkey as you are doing such a grand job 👏Excellent decluttering 👏 & so close to that first medal for reaching 3,000 🥳
Soontobeoap, apparently DH got a reply within half an hour of logging in with his symptoms & was told to book an appointment asap 🙂 However, due to the backlog the earliest appointment he could get was for 15th March & only a telephone consultation 😔 Oh well, it is what it is. Excellent decluttering 👏Wow, pushchairs were certainly built to last in days gone by 🤩
GrannyKate, school projects have definitely moved on since my time 😉 What a bright young man your DGS4 is 😊 & I bet you had fun too 😉 I think my balance lamp & your box of postcards have gone on holiday & probably won’t return until we have done a bit more decluttering 😂 Great decluttering & what a great start to your extra income pot for March 👏
Time for another little break 😉 but before I go I just want to thank you all for your kind wishes for MrSD 😊 He really gave us both quite a fright but thankfully he is OK now 😮💨 & will probably get told off by the doctor when he admits to not eating before exercising 😉

@Florenceem I love the Easter bunnies so cute.
Glad to hear Mr SD is OK and found that eating before going out is helping. Very sensible staying local.
Love the denim drift bedroom and so much being done by everyone.
Went through the boxes of 'rubbish' dd1 had put out , rescued a couple of pens, rubber bands, and notebooks I can use if I take a few pages out of. Nothing else out but hoping to do some stuff this weekend.

Hi all, I have been trying to catch up but things conspired to interrupt but I have just succeeded
. Yesterday I met my friend, M, for a coffee that lasted through lunch, very nice
. I haven't seen her for about 18 months what with 1 thing or another. Unfortunately she is another friend who has had a bit of a hard time. Her son in law was diagnosed with a brain tumour just around the time I last saw her. He and her daughter were living in Hong Kong at the time and M couldn't visit as she was undergoing treatment for cancer herself and far too vulnerable to travel anywhere. They came home to stay with his parents in Kent along with their little boy. All sorts of treatment was investigated and even a new treatment in Germany was considered which the family raised money to pay for but unfortunately he went very quickly. M now has her daughter and grandson staying with her and has been, understandably, very busy supporting them. The grandson is now just 6 and is having a hard time adjusting to all the changes he has had to cope with in the past year. He is loved to bits and they are now paying for counselling for him as the local services have been overun with the children of Ukranian refugees. M seems to be coping ok with it all but she is another one I need to make sure I keep in touch with. Luckily another friend who was there, E, is a trained counsellor though retired, so was able to say all the right things. I said to her it's a good job we are both positive people or we would both be heading for a counsellor ourselves atm
When I got home I had to have a lie down before I headed out to the footy match which was better than I was expecting.
I did manage to post my stamps and emptied the bathroom bin so some decluttering done. I was exhausted when I got home though and just went to bed.
Today the lurgy has moved to my throat but luckily I found some throat spray in my draw. I have no idea if it is in date but I am using it. OH is again freaking out as a sore throat is apparently one of the symptoms of the current strain so I have done another test. I think it is probably all the singing and shouting at the match but what would I know
It is negative
.
I had to go to the sm and I passed a coffee to ln, didn't go in as I didn't want to pass on the lurgy but she has gone to Portsmouth with her daughter to visit her grandson and great grandson so wanted to wish her a good trip. She has been phoning me daily to check I am ok. Put the shopping away and flopped on the couch. I spent quite a bit of time texting various friends and then I decluttered some programmes from the planner and had another go at the emails. 1,000 permanently deleted and about 100 filed. Slower today as I had to read quite a few but I am now up to Dec 2020 and some newer ones have already gone as I initially started with the newest. I am going to try to do 23 mins every day until I have cleared my inbox. It is a cane toad as I dread opening that inbox, it is overwhelming. More overwhelming than my wardrobe
I must also get on with some physical sorting and decluttering
Sorry this is a long post and I am going to post it and then do another post with some comments as I don't want to lose it
So
462 posted stamps
463 bathroom bin emptied
464 - 473 10 x 100 emails deleted
Take care everyone

Hi all, just a few comments as I have actually retained some information
.
@Mrs SD, thank you for my medal. When I work out how to add a signature when using my kindle I will add it
. I too love a fountain pen and I have a few that I currently can't lay my hands on but I use 1 I got for Christmas. I am not sure if my handwriting is improved though
. Glad to hear Mr SD is recovered but I am seriously unimpressed with having to wait so long to get to only speak to a doctor. If anything similar happens again I think I would go to the walk in. I had a thing about a year ago when I fainted while out walking, I had eaten but it transpires I have low blood pressure. After a trip to a+e for stitches to the cut on my head I got to see my GP the next day who was brilliant and sent me off for all sorts of tests. I really do think it's time this was sorted out. There are all sorts of adverts on telly saying they want to see you if you are worried but when the reality is you can't get an appointment it is VERY annoying. I shout at the telly regularly
. A delivery at 3.50, what are they doing? It was lucky someone was awake and no wonder the poor delivery guy was knackered. I would also like to 2nd dfw38 comment about your cheerleading. I love your posts and they definitely are a big motivation for me, I also love to hear about your day and what you have been up to, along with everyone else, I am just a bit worried that they are a burden for but but if you would rather post than do other things that's lovely
The teddy will appear soon
@Vulpix my assignments at college usually involved an all nighter before they were handed in at 9am and I then went home to bedKickboard heating, amazing, who knew
. Good luck with the builders
@Moorviews I also wear threadbare and patched clothes for gardening and painting, mainly because I always get so mucky. I am hoping paint splotted clothes become a thing like ripped jeans so I can boast of being a trendsetter
@GrannyKate well done on the weight loss. I love swimming, it destresses me but I can't say it has helped with the weight loss
@weenancyinAmerica, from what you have told us that dog eats anything. Take care in the cold weather, lots of layers and lots of hot drinks, hugs
@Florenceem I love those bunnies, you are very talented.
Well that's all I can remember so I hope I haven't missed anything crucial. Hugs to all who would like one.
Take care everyone

Remembered to check our Premium Bond Numbers - DH won £175 & I won £75 for the 3rd month in a row 🙂 I hope those of you have Premium Bonds have been lucky this month 🍀 My last attempt to catch up before going to bed 😉
EnergyShifter, nice to see you back aboard & I think you should go straight to the TLC Carriage 😊Hopefully now that you have had the CBT Assessment, the call tomorrow will set things in motion 🙏How lovely that your DS was thinking of you whilst he was in Mauritius & brought you back a souvenir 😊Please don’t feel bad about your second thought - it is only natural when you are trying so hard to declutter 😉 What an excellent ratio 5:1 👏
Excellent decluttering charlies_tribe 👏 Decorating the boys room may have taken longer than expected but I am sure they thought sleeping in the living room was an adventure 😉
retiredinfrance, thanks for your kind words for me & MrSD 😊
D123456789, sounds like you had a lovely day with LO 😊 Not sure that she has quite got the hang of decluttering though 😂 but very impressed that she donated her old shoes 👏 Well done on keeping the shoe cupboard of doom under control 👏 Are you sure you are not talking about my shed, as it sounds identical 😉 DH & I are waiting for the temperatures to warm up before we tackle the chaos in our shed 😔
weenancy , that is definitely very unseasonal weather, 2C AND real snow 😬 I think you might need to treat yourself to a warm jumper or maybe some thermals & a coat when you go out shopping 🙂 By the way, don’t forget the houmous for the husky 😉 😅 Excellent work dealing with frogs for the hospitalised roommate 👏 Well done to your female roommate for decluttering so many books 👏 I am awarding her a medal 🏅 Lovely to hear that your sister is going to help you declutter - always easier when 2 of you are doing it together 😊 Good job you checked the box before sending it to your nephew - just wondering if your dad had looked in the box 😬 I think that is definitely the strangest & most dangerous thing to declutter 😱
Dfw38, fingers crossed that the drawers stay tidy for longer than 2 days 🤞Sorry to hear that the universe conspired against you ☹️ Your bedroom is absolutely stunning Dfw38 😻 Are you sure you are not an interior designer 😊 I hope you will share another photo when you have added your finishing touches 🙏 Sounds like you are almost ready to start decorating DS’s bedroom 🤞
I am nodding off, so I am going to bed. Will have a final push tomorrow to catch up on the cheerleading & pick an MMiM from my list. Good night everyone.

You are too kind @Mrs_Salad_Dodger, I am definitely not an interior designer 😆. Yes, just emptying ds room out (has been our 'holding room' for the bedroom furniture etc. Going to have the weekend off and if dh can help me move his wardrobe (he has more clothes than the rest of us....seems a common theme among dhs on here!) I will start the washing down and decorating on Monday night. I am looking forward to having the decorating finished now. I miss spending evenings decluttering! Today my MMiM is going to be running through my clothes and allocating them space in the tall boy. Haven't got loads so hoping that can be accomplished today.
Car should hopefully be completely fixed today. Mechanic needed extra parts because something had got stuck and melted 🤦♀️ so no operation tip run today.... gives me a few more days to find extra bits mwah ha ha ha! Hope you all have a lovely day!2024 decluttering Campaign
