1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with daily mail immediately
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Sunday morning has dawned bright & clear 😊. The sun is out, the sky is blue but there is a chilly breeze 😔 Sadly I didn’t sleep well - I got up 4 times during the night - a really uncomfortable sofa bed 😣 & got up & dressed the 5th time at 9:45 a.m. The birthday girl (80 years young) came round for a late breakfast of toast & fruit + a non alcoholic Bucks Fizz. She opened her cards & presents including the ‘stone with name & age engraved on it’ which was our present 😅 W was rather bemused but hopefully a unique gift🤞 We are setting off to the lunch party venue in about 15 minutes.
Will cheerlead when I get home late this afternoon 🙂

Hi everyone
Someone here was asking about taking pens etc to the charity shop. An alternative is to send them to Pens for Kids UK. A quick google search brings up their website with info about them and the address to post items to.

Here is the wallpaper (waited until I cleared the ladder etc) I think dh didn't mind (wouldn't go so far as to say enjoyed ) putting the paper up. He didn't moan once 👍

Tip toes out of TLC carriage hangs head in shame
I have been doing wonderfully at tackling frogs but very badly at decluttering and reading/ posting.
My mind is heavy with a problem which im trying to think my way out of ...when does that ever work?
I've thought about said problem so much im in a state of lazybum paralysis..so need to wind back up to some momentum again.I need to put problem to the side and see if the answer comes to me.
I think i might use the 23 method over the next 23 days and see if i can make some progress .If anyone else is in the same position Im beginning to believe that part of this journey is falling by the wayside and getting back up without beating yourself up too much x18 -
Gettingthrifty - Wasn't your post supposed to read "I have been doing an excellent job of decluttering frogs". They are particularly tricky things to declutter so a pat on the back definitely needed.DFW - Lovely paper. Looks great. :-)

Well done @Dfw38! I suspect that your DH might still be very aware that he wasn’t sparking joy!@vulpix, you have reminded me that I have at least one i-spy book somewhere…ahhh here it is, hiding on the book case. I-spy wildflowers.I wrapped a birthday present up this morning, and I can honestly say (for the first time ever, I think) that I took so much pleasure from opening the gift wrap drawer and seeing the paper and ribbons all sorted and tidy. I smiled like a Cheshire Cat at my decluttering, so thank you, one and all for keeping me on this journey.
This weekend’s decluttering so far:
a birds of the world book (we had 2 for some reason??)
a chocolate cookery book (yep, 2 of those again)
and a late addition - wildflower book 😉
2 half used boxes of ood contact lenses from the back of the bathroom cabinet. I haven't worn lenses for a few years, these escaped the last cull somehow.
12 old toothbrushes. I keep a stash for cleaning, but I had to draw the line at having about 25 saved. It came to a head when I muddled up the one that I had used for cleaning the plughole and the ones which DH and I were using. Whoops.Hugs to all those resting in the TLC carriage, especially to @Siebrie x16 -
Nice wallpaper.:) I have seen that somewhere before.

Skogar - big thank you
, most of my frogs have involved computer and phone things that annoyingly bounce back with queries many times before you can say truly done, i never feel as accomplished as when i have a good fling

Just a quick post while waiting for 111 to ring us back. Dd3 is wheezy again.
Thanks for the medal Mrs SD.
Well done @Dfw38, that looks lovely.
Yesterday we almost finished the paper but the radiator has a leak so dad's coming to look at it tomorrow (he's a plumber and will probably do it quicker than DH) so just 2 strips behind the radiator to do.
DH and DS1 have just gone to fetch paint, I've given up the fight and he can have black in his cave if that's what he wants. Hoping that he'll at least get 1 coat on today.
Just wrapped DD2s presents for tomorrow and dad's partner has just brought her cake over (it looks gorgeous) so at least if we end up in hospital with DD2 everything is ready for tomorrow.

Happy holidays @mrs SD - you even went to bed early (for you) 😊 Glad you are enjoying good company
well I have reorganised the shoe cupboard. I have decluttered it several times but it always seems to quickly get in a mess. It is much better now I have moved things around. Let’s see how long it lasts.
Unfortunately though the cupboard under The stairs now has a couple of extra items shoved in and is officially the cupboard of doom. 😦
LO tidied her Toy table in the kitchen (independently) she even asked for “that dust cloth.” She admired her excellent work and seemed delighted with herself! I wish her enthusiasm would rub off on me 🤣
DH has taken her to see puss in boots so I went to do a fill up the freezer shop, and I have steam cleaned the kitchen floor. Washing is on as we all went swimming this morning. I am exhausted now, just sat down, but I think they will be home any minute. I could do to hoover upstairs, downstairs gets done daily so I am keeping on top of that.
It’s great to read how everyone else is getting on. Lovely decorating too!19
