Great pics Donna, sometimes it is absolutely wrong to spend money on storage stuff but sometimes its absolutely right. I'd say in the case of your drawer its absolutely right. They fit beautifully, don't roll about, do the job better than the original packaging plus look very attractive. Well done
Hugs to anyone else struggling with ill health, family or other issues

Nothing much to report but I want to post regularly to keep up the momentum. For the last couple of days I've focussed on finishing work, getting myself sorted for my cataract op tomorrow and helping DS get sorted for his travels the following day so no time for decluttering. I will need a few days in the TLC carriage after the op so there won't be much decluttering going on for a while.

@donna73 I love those spices... I could stare at that drawer all day! Reminds me of the sort of things you see on Reddit with probably a tag of #organisationporn or something!Been busy most the day, but cheered myself up by discovering I "only" have 25 plastic mailing bags left (I started with over 50). Been using them to leave out the Buy Nothing things, so the more things I get rid of, the more of these disappear from my house. I have also replaced two large boxes with two smaller ones on top of each other for packaging and another for wrapping paper. One is very full and the latter is empty. I already had the containers which were freed up from decluttering next size up clothes for DD and now they take up half the space that they used to. Would love to get them into a single container...Did a very quick look into the cupboard of doom and pulled out a few things to go to boost my numbers. Still got a bit of tidying to do later. Slowly getting there. Feel better after the parents of the kids that came round to play with DS said the clutter is endless and even if somehow you find time to get rid of a load, it is back to the same mess in a week. Glad it's not just me that struggles! I do feel like I am winning the war, but it is very slow.Ear still not back to normal, but the sore throat is going and I'm almost feeling normal other than that. Will see if the ear improves tomorrow/Friday, otherwise it might be a trip to the doctors. It doesn't hurt, just feels like it's under water so I can't hear properly out of it.2000 - plastic bag (used)2001-2004 - packaging (used)2005 - PJ top I don't like (charity bag)2006-2068 - silica gel packs, moth balls etc (no need when I'm not storing so many clothes anymore) (Buy Nothing)2025 decluttering: 3,958🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Some progress...
779: shredding (little and often)
780: bag of rubbish to the outside bin
781-782: 2 records to charity shop bag
783-806: rubbish to bin bag
807-818: packaging to recycling.
Deferred Decisions:
79-80: Another 2 boxes sorted and items sorted like with like.
81-152: Not going to count this as individual items but as volume.72 litres of dressmaking patterns and craft materials sorted out and awaiting collection by the local "scrapstore" who redistribute craft and arts materials. This stuff was scattered and would have been 5 36 litre boxes if condensed: now down to 2 full boxes that now fit into the cupboard at the top of the stairs) and there's an empty box.
Still a way to go before Monday's carpet cleaning but I'm getting there.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Some more clothes beyond repair found for the bag of "rags" for the charity shop. Our local one takes rags as well as clothes but prefer that you bag them up separately. Have also decided to get rid of a portable CD player I| have no use for but takes up quite a bit of space.

Hi all, I have had a really lovely day today. Lunch with 3 ex colleagues, 2 I haven't seen for nearly a year so lots to catch up on. It was a lovely restaurant with fab staff, nothing was too much trouble. We only left when we realised it was starting to serve the evening diners and we would have to have bought another meal
though they were in no rush to move us out. It was not a local restaurant though, about 35 miles away but worth the trip. Before I set off I sorted the mail by taking it back up to bed with me with my first cuppa so filled the bedroom recycling bin and had a scoot around the bathroom and landing and filled the bathroom bin. Both were taken out with me when I left the house
. When I got home I folded and put away the dry washing, put another load in the machine and this has been put on the maiden. I also tackled the kitchen which was still in a mess from the weekend, I was hoping OH would do it but I just couldn't stand it any longer. I made some tea for OH but I only had room for a butty as I was still full from lunch
@Vulpix I think you have absolutely made the right decision re your brother and hopefully it will mean that you can still see your Mum without fear of any confrontation. OH no longer speaks to eldest sister and is much happier with that. I persevere with my sister because it is just the 2 of us and I didn't want to be cut off from my niece and nephew who, though they are far away are dear to me.
@QueenJess, interesting stats, thank you for the link and I agree 40% less housework has got to be a winner
@grandmanerd what garden furniture did you leave? The amount of time, effort and money you spent on the garden before completion I can't imagine it is anything major. Can you ask your brother to help with this? Hugs
@regnbue I have racheted lopers and secateurs, they are such a boon. I can cut quite thick branches with the lopers
@Dfw38 great job with the gravel
@EnergyShifter good luck for the op tomorrow, a couple of weeks in the tlc carriage I think, hugs
So
338 post sorted
339 bedroom recycling bin emptied
340 bathroom rubbish bin emptied
341 washing sorted
Take care everyone

Morning all. I am going to attempt to attach an image from yesterday's snowdrop walk.
It was a lovely walk and many cobwebs decluttered. I managed to have a potter round garden and half filled brown bin for today's collection. Planted first seeds in pots with DGS4. Thanks for the star Mrs SD. Saw GP and I am pre diabetic so need to lose weight and stop eating sweets and cakes. No news from hospital yet.

After really beginning to sort out the airing cupboard by chance
*57-71 items x15 taken to the CS
*72-86 fabrics and old clothes not suitable for CS into the rag bag and taken
*87 one tatty random shoe of DDs-binned (have absolutely no idea where the other is, have hunted everywhere for it)
*88 one jar of sauce found in DDs Uni doomsday box taken to the food bank.
*89 more pet food donated. (Made the most of a free offer to get some dog food. It arrived and spent the time travelling around the kitchen until it was sorted)
*90 last of fruit teabags that had water spilt on them-recycling
*91 some very old flour found and binned (this is when DD went thru a baking phase a few years ago now!)
*92 more teabags found and popped into the recycling
*93 part block of black fondant that was solid and i think it had its own seat in the cupboard-recycling
*94 BN piece of medical equipment I couldn’t use, given to the hospital
Have found a box to pack up more neutral items to send off, plan is to pack it up today. Get it posted by Saturday. Heading for the 100 mark on both targets so very happyDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
