1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with daily mail immediately
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Wednesday 10:50 a.m. & we have clear blue skies & sunshine but temperature is only 1C 🥶 but at least last night’s heavy fog has cleared 🙂 I am snuggled in my dressing gown & drinking my first cuppa, hoping to get rid of a slight headache without the aid of pills 🤞 So straight into cheerleading in an attempt to catch up 😉
Dfw38, kiwi crush photo frames ✅, lime green bedding 🤨 you might have to resort to wearing sunglasses when doing the laundry 😅 Excellent work on the decorating - you & DH are certainly not hanging around 👏 Hope that DS is not too disruptive when he is sharing a room with his sisters 😉Don’t forget you are decluttering - paint & wallpaper 😉 Thanks for the reminder 🙂
Lovely post vulpix 😊 I had to smile at your decision to ignore your ufo’s & start on a new project 😂You we’re obviously more successful at your earlier bedtime 👏 I need to try harder 😉
bit_by_bit, thanks for the reminder - I just need to make sure I start a last post at about midnight so that I see all the prompts to go to bed 😉
-taff, the thing is that I can manage the bed before midnight & up by 8:30 sleeping routine which is generally more convenient & cheaper on energy usage 😉 I just need to convince myself I am on holiday then I will manage it 🤞 Any chance of a picture or 2 of your throws 🙏 Good luck with your final push on your “I’ll fit into that one day” clothing declutter 🍀
QueenJess your DS will love you even more than he does now when you start getting the Lego magazine 🥹
Good idea Liverpool_Anne - shorter, quicker posts shouldn’t disappear into the ether 😊 Your salutary tale about shoes has reminded me to get mine out from their boxes & start wearing them 👏 I see you have joined me in the “Treadle Envy” club 😂 Three lovely posts are not taking over the thread 😉Excellent decluttering 👏 Perhaps you should become unavailable for union business UNTIL the union website has been used as the first port of call 😉 You are obviously too helpful 🤣 Good luck in your search for tombola prizes 🍀
TC77 sorry to hear that RL is getting you down ☹️ Lots of hugs coming your way 🤗 You are not being a grump at all 😊 Writing everything down can help in identifying the things that you can take control of or find solutions to 🤞 but first & foremost a little TLC 😊 The Pilates class is a good start, then a visit to the TLC Carriage for either a cuppa or a stiff drink 🙂 I hope Mr Sandman will put in an appearance tonight 🤞
Now, now retiredinfrance wagging finger emoji. You might not make quilts but you do restore furniture which requires both skill & patience 😊👏
Lovely post Brie 😊 Looking forward to seeing the pictures of the quilts 🙂 Your future guests will be so lucky to see the real thing 😉 Well done on enthusing OH so much that he has joined you in decluttering & is now looking for ways to declutter more items & hopefully earn a bit of cash into the bargain 👏
I am off to get dressed now then another cuppa & decide on todays plans 😉

Flying visit as I’ve been AWOL for ages. DBro, of freezer issues fame has been in hospital for the last two weeks and a bit weeks. Excellent care from ICU and is slowly on the mend in a specialist ward however he’s still got a way to go before he’s allowed home again.Despite all the anxiety he has generated we did drop 2 bags off to the charity shop this week! 🎉

I sold 5 items on Fleabay, they have been packaged and sent-very pleased as 3 were taking up space and 2 were spur of the moment decluttering the wardrobe and good job they went before I could change my mind!,
Dinner is in the slow cooker, fridge is decluttered, now I need to hoover, clean the bathroom, put some washing on and do some packing as visiting friends and family for half term.I haven’t caught up yet but great job everyone - lots of enthusiasm 😊 @MrsSD you have inspired me to take another look at toiletries that need sorting out x17 -
Not done much decluttering today but two good news items. Insurance company paid £374 towards electricity costs for dehumidifier (they already paid £79 before Christmas) and I won a £75 voucher for Vistaprint - first win in ages.

Brie, if you don’t have the wall space for your quilts, how about a towel rail? I will post a photo of mine later.A lovely time was had with bit by bit. I can show her a good time. Bacon butty at the community centre and a trot round the chazzers. The joiner turned up unexpectedly this morning. We now have a mantelpiece and skirting board. I have displayed my collection of bubble vases on the mantelpiece. Mr V doesn’t like the vases. some people have no interior design finesse. 🤣Haha
before and after pic of the fire.If you zoom on the hearth you can see the Russian doll cats.Vx:20 -
Another quiet day work-wise. This time it was the place I get paid even if no one turns up so that was good! The other place I worked emailed to say they are proposing that we get a pay-rise in April to compensate for the issue of No Shows / Late Cancellations (they have to get Board approval) - so another piece of good news.
... on the not such good news front - BG have emailed to suggest I increase my DD by more than double - I don't think I sent in my most recent meter reading so that must be based on an estimate - I better get onto that. (update: DD is actually 3 times what I was paying previously and the estimated bill was spot on - eek!)
Decluttering success - I managed to gently persuade DS to part with his old prom suit - it will never fit him again (nor would he want it to) - he was keeping it as a "memory" - we've agreed he'll take a photo of it instead. I had to agree to get rid of the Chinese Lucky Cat that he hated as part of the negotiation.I will give him time to recover before I get him to look through the rest of his stuff...

Hi everybody
Talking of finding treasures...our local shoe shop was closing down a couple of years ago and that's where I buy my trainers. We're now allowed to wear them for work as well so I just wear them for everything and currently have 3 pairs on rotation. The cupboard under the stairs is big and absolutely chocka but I fancied a quick rummage as I knew I had trainers in there.
Well it turns out I have 8 pairs of new trainers. Actually very pleased as I know I won't have to travel to buy new ones for a good while, although I've noticed this is a pattern with me buying multiples of items which I need to address.
Also a little cry of joy whilst sorting as my Dad's hammer, which I have been looking for for over 2 years, tumbled out and landed at my feet. Trouble is it's been so long I can't remember why I needed it. It's new home is atop my Dad's old tool box.
Unfortunately my laptop froze a couple of days ago after drafting this post so I will attempt to post this and hope that lets me continue to post further updates - lots of decluttering going on here.

Day off today for my birthday 🎂.. technically recluttered by browsing charity shops and getting myself some drip trays to grow seeds indoors, DD some socket protectors (her cot is by the wall and has a socket there - I temporarily fixed the problem by ramming a changing mat between the cot and the wall), a small collection of books for DS that have gone into the present stash and a puzzle for DS that was £1 (it is a Wasjig one that we've done together, but this one was 150 pieces rather than 1,000 pieces ones that I do so he can do it all on his own). Also got a few bits including some ethical earrings I really loved from DH (I don't have many pairs). I also removed £10 from a survey site that I will be spending on second hand books online later (didn't find anything in the charity shops). You can never have too many books (and to be fair, I do have shelf space still). Also re-cluttered my mind picking up DD from nursery as they irritated me by providing an example of her being clingy with their poor choices (in my opinion). They did something unnecessary that she always wants them to do now (as she likes routine). Totally their fault and I've no sympathy that they've built a rod for their own back there. She isn't clingy so much as needs attention... I think she might be a bright cookie and needs constant stimulation (DH's brother was like that as a child).. she can't talk properly yet, but is counting to ten (she's still 1)! Anyway, she's only little so I really don't think it's a big deal. She'll grow out of it and I shall not be worrying about it. They've annoyed me though and I am trying to ignore that too.Oh - I did declutter two huge pieces of DS's chocolate cake to a neighbour. They are having a hard time and are very grateful for little things like that. Plus it's 3 layers and I've no idea how we'll get through it otherwise! I hope they planted the daffodil bulbs I got them in a little pot before xmas as they should add some happiness to their day whilst it's too cold for them to go out.2025 decluttering: 3,984🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅
