The time is 5:06 p.m. and I am back writing in Notes as my 23+ minutes is up 😉 The wm cycle finished but I gave the motorcycle jacket another spin cycle. It is now hanging on the back of a chair at an angle to a radiator which is on low. The jeans are being tumble dried. I have also prepped the meat & most of the vegetables - beef, potatoes for roasties, carrots & swede for roasting & trimmed the curly kale. All that is left is to prep the cabbage & sprouts - although I might leave that to DH. However oven is warming up & will be starting to slow roast the beef as it needs 2 hours - put in at 5:24 & temperature just turned down. DH is in the bath & DSis is in her room watching Netf**x 🙂 5:40 p.m. - DH is out of the bath & is peeling sprouts 😇 which will be parboiled & then stir fried with bacon & chestnuts 😋Now 6:30 p.m. & the potatoes are in the oven 🙂 Jeans are dry 🥳
bit_by_bit, 10 bags of shreddable waste, no wonder you used a secure waste shredding company for the confidential paperwork 😥 There are several people doing whole house decluttering & tidying - good luck to you all 🍀 I should really but DH & I are notorious for making big plans & then not being successful 😉 However we will get there ……… eventually 🙂 Between you & DH (even though he is currently working at his parent’s house), I am sure you will get your home tidied & ready to welcome your Canadian visitor 👏 Good luck 🍀 I am sorry to hear that the split between your DS1 & his wife seems to be permanent but sad to say that if they are both unhappy then it may be for the best 😔 How very kind of you to support your DiL 😊
Liverpool_Anne, just 7 posts 😉 The quilt really is beautiful - we are so lucky to have so many talented declutterers who post pictures of their completed projects 😊
Radish72, as reasons go for slacking on the decluttering (only joking) that is a nicer one than being ill 🙂 I hope the work trip was successful & you had at least a little time for yourself 🤞 Now for some time in the TLC Carriage to rest & recuperate 😊 Decluttering money in pursuit of a holiday abroad in the sun is what is called TLC 😊
grandmanerd, sounds like it is imperative that the locks are changed asap 😥 Good luck with your frog phone call 🍀 & hopefully with your mum’s cousin on board he will be willing & able to assist & support his ?niece? - I get very fuzzy with family relationships 😔 Your support & advice is & will be invaluable to her over the coming months 😊 Excellent decluttering resulting from lots of hard work 👏 At the rate you are going you will have hit 2023 within a couple more days 🤩
Excellent decluttering Deni_debt-free_dreamer 👏 You have been working hard especially when it comes to decluttering the contents of the shed 👏 Well done on your daily email decluttering 🙂
Lovely memories daisy_1571 😊 Your post put me in mind of the Yorkshiremen sketch 😉😅
EnergyShifter, well done on making use of your boost of energy - always nice when it happens 😊 As to the lovely dress, if it is too big do you have the skills to adjust it to fit? Excellent decluttering 👏
stellata, nothing wrong with a lie in on a Sunday especially as your little dog was the beneficiary of a lovely walk 😊 Good luck with your decluttering 🍀 Also well done on your selling exploits 👏
Excellent decluttering Rootle 👏
🤩 ~FlowerPot~ excellent decluttering of frogs 👏 One medal 🏅 coming your way 😊
Lovely to see you MadRatters 👋 Sounds like you have your hands full with your new pets 😊 Excellent decluttering 👏 Sounds like you are settling well into your new home 😊 Good luck with listing 5 boxes of items to sell 🍀& may all your buyers be generous 🤞
Thank you for my first reminder to go to bed charlies_tribe 😉 Sorry to hear about both DD3 & DH ☹️Hope they both make a speedy recovery ❤️🩹 & that you can get some rest in between performing your Florence Nightingale duties 🤞Bearing in mind all that has been going on, you still managed a good amount of decluttering 👏 Sending lots of hugs to both you & DD3 🤗
And breathe - all caught up & will now concentrate on cooking dinner 😉

Evening allI have to share an epic achievement, I managed to re-thread my overlocker and get it to work. Only took an hour and a half. DP bought it for me 15 months ago. It terrified me and therefore stayed in the box. I had to have a celebrationary sherry.
On a decluttering note, 2 broken battery operated sets of lights in the bin. Yummy roast beef and homemade Yorkshire pudding for dinner 😋22 -
No decluttering today, but I did do a bit more last night that I need to log here and I also got everything listed on Buy Nothing gone and picked up. DS had a brilliant party and I think everyone enjoyed themselves. I found it incredibly stressful though as DD was clingy and I held her for about 3 hours and couldn't do anything at all.1,538-1,543 - various stuff from medical box (binned/recycled)1,544-1,546 - rubbish found in scary upstairs cupboard (binned)1,547 - packaging (recycled)1,548-1,549 - packaging (used)Now sitting down with a glass of wine as am absolutely shattered. Lovely patchwork quilt. :-)A celebratory sherry was definitely called for after sucessfully threading an overlocker. :-)Not quite sure what I have got rid of today but as there was a full bin bag there must have been something in it.Kids book and a couple of toys in the pile for the charity shop...2024 Fashion on the Ration - 3.5/66.5 coupons remaining1 cardigan - 5 coupons13 prs ankle socks - 13 coupons5 prs leggings - 10 coupons4 prs dungarees - 24 coupons1 cord jacket - 11 couponstotal 63 coupons17

Evening all, just popping in to say I've done a major decluttering of my emails - 2000 odd. Not quite sure why I had been keeping them, or where they were being stored..lol But now they have gone into that recycling bin in the ether
Also had a decluttering session the other day and got rid of some of the storage boxes, that had been cluttering up my living room, to the storage unit. Went through my coats and got rid of three of them to the charity shop, but in the process of doing this I found a coat that I had forgotten about which I am really pleased about, and I love it so will be wearing it when the spring is here.
Dave also decluttered a teapot from the kitchen as I had got a new Berylware one. So one in and one out...!!!
I'm sure there's more but I can't remember them. Must make sure I make a note of them next timeMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

@Madbat60 - I would have needed the sherry too. The sewing machines we have here all make me nervous and all thumbs. We have five sewing machines that I know of in this house. All packed away. I think I need to take some lessons in how to use at least one of them. My sister's husband bought a treadle machine when they married 47 years ago - and made their curtains and several other things. That's what I learned on and even that is still scary.17

I've sort of decluttered a large dining table - it's dismantled but not yet sold. It's smaller replacement is in pride of place, looking very smart & well worth the £75 for it's space-saving in my living room!
The charity box is steadily filling with unwanted detritus. Today's additions were 4 sweaters cast out of my wardrobe, an unused wooden spatula and several surplus makeup bags.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Hello everyone. Hope you've all had a good weekend 🙂. I've been busy repainting a box section in the house today, so only had a quick 10 minute timer declutter. Today's decluttered are No's 41-46 (all DVDS). Thank you for the comments on my blanket 😚. I can't believe it took me so long to get round to sewing it together when I had already completed all the work leading up to that part! Still all finished and awaiting to be put into my "new' bedroom.
Thank you for the medal for dh, Mrs SD. I told him (I had to explain I was part of this challenge) and he said he was very grateful. He was also a little frantic that I was going to get rid of 2023 things.... reassured him that 2023 things was not my target, didn't mention that my target was 100 boxes 😆😈.
I have had a massive burst of energy today, no idea where it has come from but I have had a short walk, moved all furniture except for a king size bed out of bedroom, washed down walls (and rinsed) and just finished my 2nd coat of paint on ceiling which means that part of the room is done ✔ wahoo! (Artex ceilings are a real pain to paint). Also cooked a roast beef dinner, organised dcs stuff for week ahead and checked their homework.
I think I will sleep well tonight 🤣. Just about to enjoy a nice bath and will call it a night! Hugs to everyone, hope you all had a lovely Sunday and Mrs SD, go to sleep!2024 decluttering Campaign
