Helloooo everyone 👋🏼, flying through as it’s been slightly bonkers in all directions in the last week..
Hugs, spoons and 🤞🏼that all goes well for all those dealing with difficult stuffs in life..
Sometimes it’s can be so overwhelming with the world screaming at us from all angles..
Trying to shut out the noise and concentrate on the needs not the wants.. 🫣
So here’s where my hours have been decluttered…
New fireplace backing measured, cut & fixed in along with hole being stuffed with insulation for Ma, thus sealing up the old hole..she’s happy, no draughty spots anymore, so we’re happy 😉
Painted ceiling x2 and walls x3 in bathroom for MiL along with a deep clean so it was all shiny.. she’s happy ✅
DS1 room completely finished with the new sockets, shelving & the works (also getting new window due to seal being broken & mould frowning between the pains 😮)
2 x 24 hour shifts at work.. 😵💫
& most importantly for today the rest of the old furniture has now been taken to local furniture trust! (Almost have my front room back, just a wardrobe to go..)
Shattered for now.. 🥱 Though hoping to get the garage semi-cleared tomorrow, weather depending! Thanks again everyone for keeping me inspired and full of hope that I can win at this decluttering malarkey!

Good afternoon. I haven't posted in a few days as I hadn't decluttered anything. Although I did declutter another year (and lots of cake) on monday.
Did my cbt Tuesday and have had visits from dd1 and dgd each afternoon. There was some space in the bin so DH cut a square from the boys Carpet to fill it, they're having the left over laminate from our room once there's is finally decorated.
Today I've chased up the teacher to sign dd3 passport photo. Mrs SD she's off to the black forest in Germany. She's never been abroad and is so excited.
All the children have sniffles and when I've been in the medical box, almost everything is out of date, the Olbas oil was 2016 exp, so this morning i decided to sort it, i did do what had overfloweda few weeks afo so that will all now fit in and after all the plasters/suncreamhas gone it can be swappedto a much smaller box. 22 items have already been binned and i have a pile of tablets that need sorting (not listing these until they go). I feel bad as some of them, like strepsils/lozenges haven't been opened but have a 2021 expiry, wondering how far out is safe to keep or just get rid of the lot to be safe.
I have a huge amount of suncream (I'm prepared for another hot summer) and about 8 boxes of plasters. I really shouldn't have tipped the olbas oil down the sink thought, my nose will be unblocked for years 🙃
Just enjoying a cup of tea now before the girls come home.

Hi all, woke up this morning feeling rough, covid test done, negative so just a cough/ cold but it explains why I have been feeling a bit down yesterday
@Siebrie thank you for that too though to be honest I have never known people to get post while in hospital, I'm not sure it would be delivered to the patient but I will check it out for future reference
@GrannyKate glad the procedure went well and you are now recovering, eating whatever you want
@Vulpix lots of hard work coming your way hugs
@bit_by_bit the situation with the relatives must be a real worry for you, hugs
@2Scratters I often do similar when I come across wood. You need to learn to use the power toolsI love getting out the power tools, I have an electric hand saw and a chop saw which is my favourite
@Mrs SD yes it was a lovely day and I really should do it more often. As for the bag counting as 2 I am not sure but I realised yesterday that OH had also used a sheet of tissue paper and that made me smile because OH often gives me a "look" when I save things like that
so I will add that
@plumduff55 looking around I have loads of things I have happily become blind to lurking on window sills and other quite obvious places. I am working on the theory that when they become visible they will be dealt with, hopefully sooner rather than later. Only the other day I found the poker on the window sill, no idea why it was there I only know I had been missing it for a while and it wasn't even hiding behind anything
So today so far all I have done apart from drink tea is put the dry washing away. I will see if I can summon the mojo to do a bit more after lunch.
292 piece of tissue paper used
293 covid test
294 dry washing put away
Take care everyone

A lovely day with no real plans so again made it out to the garden for an hour or so. My big achievement of the day was to call the eye clinic to check up on my referral for my second cataract surgery and they booked me in for 16th of this month - I'm delighted it's so soon!. They could have done today or Monday but that would have meant cancelling loads of clients and having my hair done - so went for 16th.
Tasks:
More garden stuff - digging & power-washing
Booked eye surgery

I managed to sort out the understairs cupboard today, manky carpet, dodgy extension leads, old laminate flooring, and several tins of dried up paint thrown in the bin. I seem to be 1 step forward and 3 back at the moment. My son's father died last year suddenly and we're about to collect all the probate paperwork from his brother. More clutter.18

Thankyou @vulpix and @Liverpool_Anne
I think things will get worst before they get better.
SiL feels much better today.
I sorted out some financial frogs and my phone Apps are now all accessible. I don't want to do that again for a long time.
So nothing out today as I prioritised getting a rest.

The friend that Mr F helped was one of those who died recently. At least there is not so much of a financial mess for the family to sort out

This week’s decluttering:
- 2 plastic fruit punnets thrown away (Justin had been keeping them to use as drip trays for seedling pots, but I told him they were too small 😀)
- 2 ivy roots and some rotten bamboo canes from a failed attempt at “ivy topiary”
- an old grow-bag (compost repurposed)
- a garden-waste wheelie-bin-ful of rose prunings
- 2 magazines read & recycled
- box from new purchase recycled
- weekend newspaper read & recycled
- junk mail direct from letterbox to recycling
Several mornings were decluttered by oversleeping 🙁
Wishing you all a good weekend, hugs to all who need them, condolences to those who’ve been bereaved.“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Evening All
Continued with the paperwork decluttering, shredded 153 pieces, recycled 10.
Plans for the weekend to continue with the paperwork decluttering, declutter the bottom of the coat cupboard which I did not get around to last week and declutter a shelf unit in my living room, when holds DVDs/videos, games and storage baskets with miscellaneous treasure/clutter - i sometimes think these two words are inter-changable!
Have a good weekend everyone.Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can
