Another load of decluttering pages to catch up with! This week I’ve felt a bit blah for whatever reason and my vavavoom had kind of vanished! However I put two medium sized items up for free on local FB page and they were collected that very morning which was good. One was to a friend so stood chatting for ages! Then a big desk was picked up this morning. It’s been on my mental to do list but was filled with mum stuff so just kind of shifted that into a box and will sort at another time ( it’s cards and photographs and stuff) and it’s gone and left a nice space in the room it was in.So although not getting much else done I felt like it was three ticks ✅ ✅✅ for what I have managed,19

@vulpix thank you xx
@Liverpool_Anne don't worry, she's fine - she just doesn't want me in her life & won't tell me why. I did follow her on Insta but no more.
@SecondStar big hug - it's a carp time, easier when you can get on in an empty house though. Just start planning how you will furnish & style your new home - I spent hours working out what I needed & finding it in chazzers or on marketplace / ebay, that jits great fun 😁2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

@floss you should see my p!nterest boards for the new house haha.
In one way, it was easier to be ruthless when I was imagining the floor plan of my hopefully-new-home. However, there also lots of very mixed emotions - I’ve downsized my fabric hoard by 3/4s, it was hard to go through and be objective about how I’ve not used pieces in 5 years, so I’m probably not going to.
I threw out a lot of my uni work from my textiles degree, because it had sat not looked at, or of any interest, for 3 years.
It’s all the Stuff I’ve collected up over the years, that I always meant to get around to using, but even if I never did I never needed to get rid of it, because I always had the space to store it. Well I won’t have the space anymore!
I’ve still got about 1/3rd of the space to go through - next up is sketchbooks, notebooks, and instructional books…‘When you only have two pennies left in the world, spend one on bread and the other on flowers. About World War II items - your local history museum might like to have them for their collection also. I have sent books to Eden Camp in York as well.17

For those struggling with how others treat them ,I second the comment that no one technically can make you feel something. Its your reaction that is the key. Yes, there will be a moment of hurt, confusion, humiliation etc in the actual moment, that is right and understandable, but after that, if you can, try to get into practice of thinking your own thoughts in the minutes, hours and days after that. Its likely they have gone on their way without giving the moment a second thought. You are giving them a lot of your head space to keep reacting to it.
All easier said than done i know, but all thoughts are just that- thoughts.
Useful thoughts can be encouraged, less useful thoughts are just a habit to keep thinking them.
Just one last saying that I've found useful- what they call you is up to them, what you answer to is up to you.
Hugs to everyone going through troubling or tricky times

I decluttered lots at SA today - I was told to drastically cut the number of books we were keeping for the next sale. Pity it doesn't count here.

We had to go do DD3 photo today as school want her passport in 7 weeks and I haven't even started it yet 🐸. Its now filled in and emailed her teacher to see if they can sign it. Its such a tip here i xant find our passports anywhere but luckily found DHs birth certificate while hunting so will send that off (it only wanted one parents as we do have passports, just no number to put in).
Bagged up some more clothes to take with us but left them on the table so not adding them until they leave.
This afternoon we have a leaky toilet with water dripping in to the kitchen, DH has tried to sort it but think it's going to have to wait till tomorrow for a new seal so bucket on the worktop, at least its clean water. But has meant nothing else has got done today.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Dear All
I am absolutely overwhelmed by the kind responses and words of wisdom I have received after my post this morning. I thank each and every one of you. I do not divulge in my usual life and never anticipated the support I have received here. I have screenshotted your reponses so I can take your advice. In mentioning some names I apologise if I have missed anyone, after this post I will go to the TLC carriage for a little while, but I will be back !
A little bit of context. As part of my frog work on this thread I finally plucked up courage and went for a GP appointment on 19 january for a problem I had since november 2022.Having had a traumatic medical experience a few years ago that I've never fully recovered from it was tough for me to do .I was referred to hospital and was seen a week later in the urgent clinic. The registrar there was rude and patronising to me. I had barely said a word, I never expected that . He had medical students sitting in so it was extra humiliating.
I have 3 more hospital appointments next week with different departments which I don't know how I can face.
DFW38 thank you so much , with everything you have going on yourself. Please join me for a glass of wine in the TLC carriage when you are ready
Floss oh my goodness thats EXACTLY how it is. Thanking you making me feel not so alone with my reaction
TC77 thank you for your kind words
Flowerpot thanks so much for your kind supportive wise words it was your post that made me screen shot the others to keep and read for when this happens again which it surely will if i allow it, and to now make changes to stop it
taff Big thanks
ginmonster - there was a lot of truth in your response which i think sums the person up well
liverpool ann You are absolutely right and the person I used to be would normally handle people like this by saying 'could i have a word...in private' I think that's why i am so upset im not that assertive person anymore in this situation
Vulpix - thank you, we are the same profession so you probably would know how distressing this was
muddy-walker -I am so sorry you have experienced similar this week dealing with an unpleasant person and please share the wonderful responses from people in helping you deal with it too. Thanks you for your kind words. I was very touched. P.S 'cwtched' are you in Wales?
Daisy-1571 Many thanks
I apologise if I've derailed the train with this situation but it has been a blessed relief to be amongst such lovely people.
Ill hop off the train now and see you all soon x18
