Hi - you could try Twinks homemade hob nobs recipe - it's on this thread. I'll post a link if you want. At the mo. it's on page 2. We have a batch in the oven now (made by my two DD's) - they are gorgeous- the biscuits I mean, although my kids are very nice too!:rotfl: . I make mine by rolling them into walnut sized pieces but some people roll out the 'dough' in between greaseproof/cling film and use cookie cutters.
I'll have a look for some other recipes and post them on here later but at the mo. I am addicted to the hob-nobs!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Pink-winged answered this for someone on another thread. Have a look at her post here.
Or you could go to the search facility at the top of the screen, choose 'advanced search' then 'titles only' and type in biscuit. There are lots to choose from.
Enjoy!May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
I'll second Twink's hobnobs. I made my first ever batch on Wednesday and another batch yesterday. They are absolutely scrummy. I rolled the mix out between baking parchment and used a cuttie cutter. One thing to point out is to leave a bit of room between each biscuit because they do spread out a bit when cooking.0

I'll third the hobnobs - i made a batch of 40 yesterday and there are only a few left as DSs and DH have attacked them with gusto. They do spread a lot."With no money you start to discover your own inner resource" GK Chesterton2 adults, 3 children0

Aren't the hob-nobs great!! My o/h wants to take some into works tomorrow, I have directed 2 colleagues to this web-site last week to get the recipe and my daughters friends want to move into my house - purely because of these biscuits!!! I have also got next Wednesday (in half term) booked to 'teach' 6 x 8/10 year olds how to make them!!! My DD's have also developed a side-line - I found out they are swapping them at school e.g 2 biscuits for a large scotch egg, 1 for a frube or a cheese string etc!!! I don't know whether to be proud of them or annoyed:rolleyes::rotfl: :rotfl:

Hi cruiksl,
There's a recent thread on making biscuits with cutters that should help so I've added your thread to it to keep all the replies together.

Well, I just can't spend any more time searching - I know there's a thread somewhere but it eludes me!
I've promised my son that we'll make biscuits when he gets home from nursery in half an hour. I bought him some small alphabet biscuit cutters for being a good boy while I was ill last week and he's really excited about cooking the alphabet!
Can anyone point me to a good, easy recipe for biscuits that will hold well in small shapes, please?
We have all the usual things. Thanks! (PS I saw an oat based one but I think the oats we have would be too big and would make the edges ragged and messy!)May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
