Thanks for that, makes sense.

Ahh, ok, you dont understand the basic concept that your insurer acts in your name... when referring to the OP not having a claim against TP2 in that scenario the "OP" means either the OP or the OP's insurers... the terms are basically interchangeable because all action is in the name of the OP and wasnt to suggest the OP should deal with it personallydiystarter7 said:

Who's said they shouldnt leave it to their insurers?diystarter7 said:
I still do not understand why the OP should not leave it to the insurance guys as most people do and OP is going to do that. Why make things more complex for yourself?
Just look at the thousands of threads on here... people claiming from their insures but wanting to understand the process or understand why their insurers are taking certain actions etc.
You did as per the previous post I responded to.
You was clear about it as well when you takled about different drivers, different ins levels.2 -

Hi
Ah, ok, you don't understand the basic concept of what I and others have said, I have tried but I feel we have different views. The basic concept you refer to is not rigid ie a claim can be easily left to the ins co as many do and many don't, its a personal choice
as you may or may not be aware of.
The OP as per my other posts is happy to leave it with the ins co and
that is great.
I'm glad that together MSE posters have been able to help along the OP just like many other threads.
Enjoy your day
