I am waiting on Shell too, not had any communication at all. When I tried asking on live chat they just directed me to a phone number to ring.

For anyone on British Gas there is a note on their website about this - I am not sure if other companies will send it in the same way - but apparently we're going to get a voucher to redeem at the post office for CASH (3 month limit to do so though!).

I received no email about this. My exact postcode is on the list.
  • EDF paid yesterday … no email notification and they immediately sent us to my bank as a refund.

I can also confirm EDF did mine on the 20th as well in the same method as the £66/67 (credit added then refund to bank account)

Octopus have paid without any notification - took a couple of goes to get sense rather than babble from their email help but got there in the end.
  • British Gas, £200 Alternative Fuel Payment has appeared in my account ( BG account  ) this afternoon visible on the BG app .
Reading comments here it seems that this isn’t automatically going to be transferred out to our bank account ( we pay by DD ) as with the monthly Gov £67 ish ….?
    Cheers

Just had mine showing in British Gas a/c also and doesn't look like it will be automatically sent to bank account, as the website is saying it looks like I'm paying too much and I can either reduce my monthly direct debit or apply for a refund of my projected credit amount (currently about £131). If it doesn't transfer to my bank in next few days I will apply for the refund.
Very odd, as as BG have nothing to do with this payment they should really pass it all on to the customer to pay for their 'alterntive fuel'. Not a big deal for me but others may want the £200.

I agree, they are offering us a £191 refund but frankly they shouldn't be using the money to clear a small forecast debit in December 2023.

That's interesting. I also received my E.on Next payment credit on the 12th and emailed them on the 13th. No response whatsoever.

I must have gotten in early! The system has now probably descended into chaos  :D
