Hey Lula,

Thanks, but it isnt as low as i'd like it to be! The savings should really be going off the debt but at least its not getting added to! (well the barclaycard is breifly but that is for protection and will be cleared by next week so no interest!)

Morning all,

Well it looks like im gonna be changin my car now. Its not the best timing but i feel it needs to go otherwise i could end up costing me a fortune.

The noise that they dont know what it is coupled with a couple of new noises means that i cant take the risk of it going wrong. One thing it is doing is hunting for revs when the car is in park. Also the big one that is worrying me is a noise is coming from the auto gear box and if that goes wrong then im looking at ALOT of money.

So i need to strip some bits off it, get my private plate removed and then see how much they will give me for it as a trade in.

Seriously need to sit down and work out how much im going to spend and how im going to finance it :mad:

Cars are a real pain! Bring back horse and carts, thats what I say!!!! I know how you feel my OHs cars clutch is struggling to find 2nd and third gears. I try not to drive it.

This is not what you need at the moment EAMD, but in the long run if it saves you money .....................

This is the problem, nothing is "certain" to go wrong but i am now at the point that if something does go wrong (the gear box) it will cost more to fix than the car is worth.

Really not sure what to do.

In that case EAMD I think you need to bite the bullet and change your car for one that you feel more secure will NOT pack in on you.

Hey all,

Im going to try and find out again what the problems are so car is booked for next thursday to get looked at. Hopefully then i will have a better idea of what it is.

Got a friend who works in the motor trade keeping an eye out for a car and the place my car normally goes has a car sales bit so they are looking out for me aswell.

Savings wise

1. [STRIKE]Car tax £185 - £185 saved [/STRIKE]- Done PAID
2. [STRIKE]Dentists £126 - £126 saved [/STRIKE]- Done PAID
3. [STRIKE]Car repair 1 - £200 - £200 saved [/STRIKE]- Done PAID
4. [STRIKE]Car insurance - Last year £400 [/STRIKE]- £400 saved
5. [STRIKE]Car repair 2 - ???? - £0 - saved [/STRIKE]- they cant find anything at the moment
6. Scotland Travel Costs Fund (My half ) £250 - £171.91 paid (Barclaycard clear again)- £60 saved - £18.09 to go
7. Scotland Spending Money £250 at least - Saved £0

Total Target - £1411 + ???? -

Saved so far £460 Paid so far £682.91 - Total £1142.91 - To go £268.09

Got £60 in £2 coins so will get them changed today but have transfered the money into my savings account from my bank and i'll keep the cash (have done this above)

Think thats everything to report at the minute, time for a :coffee:
