I'll put in my figures. I have another thread asking if people think the claimed figures are correct.

Two-bedroom flat in a modern block with communal heating. Energy rating B, EPC annual estimate of 2200 kWh heating. This is obviously low as I am retired, so at home most of the day.

    Temperature set at 19.5 degrees daytime, night setback to 14 degrees 10 p.m. - 8 a.m..

Claimed usage 1800kWh. The billing wasn't fully commissioned last year, so there is nothing to compare it with.

    Nov 2021 961 kwh
    Nov 2022 775 kwh

We are still a little chilly, and at least now of us is working from home everyday so laptops are constantly plugged in!

One day last week we topped £10.21 daily charge but I think that day we used the oven, we mostly use a halogen oven now and microwave.

Total bill for the month £210 ish before the £67 was applied. We are £400 in credit as have been over paying, I just wish Bulb would stop changing my DD all the time, I want to pay £200 every month across the year, last month they changed it £157, this month £93, I keep putting it back up, I like the comfort of knowing we have a credit balance and that if I need to I can use the oven or take an extra shower without constant worrying that we can't afford it.

    Victorian basement flat, midlands.

    Electricity
    Nov '22 - 177 kWh
    Nov '21 - 208 kWh

    Gas
    Nov '22 - 35 kWh
    Nov '21 - 348 kWh

I didn't have the heating on at all in November this year due to the mild weather (and being away in Tenerife for the final few days ;-)

Electricity savings by being more mindful of things on standby, eg my hi-fi stack was using 9w 24/7 - I hardly use that so it's off at the wall now. I have to run a ventilation system and two dehumidifiers so will never get to sub 100 kWh levels, but all the standby tweaks saving around 20 kWh a month.

2 bed mid terrace, insulated loft but solid brick walls.
Just me & a 4 month old tiny puppy.

    Electric:
    Nov 2022 140kWh cost £53.70
    Nov 2021 132kWh cost £29.55

    Gas:
Nov 2022 68units is 766kWh cost approx £87.39. My gas smart meter doesn’t work so I’m taking readings on the last day of the month & working it out.

    No gas usage from 2021.

    Both above include standing charges.

Last year my monthly DD of £50 covered both bills.

This year I’m paying £75 DD & putting the £66 back into the energy account. Nov 2022 was equal to exactly those amounts.

I’ve changed my electric usage, last year I’d use a small fan heater, the oven & electric shower a lot more but worked full time in an office. This year I’m using an air fryer more (single portions) skipping a shower a couple of times a week & the fan heater is gone. But I now work from home full time so use power for office equipment & listen to the radio/watch TV more, lights on longer etc. they seem to even out.

Gas CH is running & was on from the beginning of the month. Temp set to 18c & I’ve put it on a few times in the day. Expecting December to be higher usage. I use a hot water bottle while i work & both the puppy & I are layered up in jumpers.

I’m finally getting quotes to replace the really old & draughty back door, which should help keep the kitchen & downstairs warmer.
