Glad to hear you are learning to look after yourself a bit more.
As expected that is a long list 😄
If the job at the PYO is actually picking fruit I would run for the hills as it literally back breaking and low paid.

Long lists and me go together like gin and tonic
Luckily the job is not actually picking the strawberries but manning the till and weighing what everyone else has pickedThat makes it harder to make a decision though - especially as I LOVE strawberries
If it was picking them I would never have considered it - I'm far too old for that

Morning everyone,
It's a rainy and grey day here on the Broads but I quite like it as I'm at the cafe today and it means I get 4 tables less to wait on as nobody will want to sit outside on a day like today - hopefully
So much for my day off yesterday - I got called into BK for 4 hours. It was actually pretty quiet and I liked everyone I was working with so wasn't all that bad and it will add a few extra ££'s into the pot when pay day hits in a couple of weeks timeI have a feeling I might get called in to do some deliveries tonight which I'm secretly looking forward too as I really enjoyed it but if I don't then I still have plenty to be getting on with after I get back home from my 8 hour cafe shift
We also all went out for a lovely brunch at a local cafe near us as it is so rare for the four of us to all be together these days that I thought we would seize the opportunity. The food was delicious and it was £60 very well spent I think but I I do always feel guilty and think really it should have gone into the OP savings pot every time we treat ourselves to things like that.
I'm going to add a long list again in true craftingmad fashion for me to complete today but in all honesty if I just cross off my cafe shift I will be a pretty happy bunny but lets see how I get on
So today I HOPE I WILL:-- Play on Mistplay (50 points target) - DOME 105 points earnt today

I can see why you are finding it hard to decide about the PYO job when it doesn't involve any picking. Would it be very short term? Or do they have other crops to extend the season?
You and your epic lists 🤣 try and not be overwhelmed by physically impossible tasks you are trying to fit into 24 hours.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

I'm not sure about extra crops to be honest - I will have to ask as you are right, I believe the strawberry season is a very short one.Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.02 Stash Busting Challenge 2024 Lost count but no craft spending0 -
Good morning,
Well as I thought, I got called into BK to do deliveries yesterday so ended up what with the cafe (which was seriously busy) and the unexpected shift working a grand total of 12.75 hours!!! I'm pretty shattered today but its all for the greater good and will hopefully give us a little extra sprint of energy to get us to the top of our mortgage mountain sooner rather than later. It did mean however that I crossed almost nothing off my list for yesterday but hey ho I know that what I did get done will be a certain money maker to throw into our OP savings pot when I'm paid
Nothing exciting to report today so far. I'm at the cafe again and who knows maybe BK again too driving around in a golf buggy delivering fast food (although not so keen today as its chucking it down and the buggies have no wet weather blinds to pull down so I would get very wet!!!). Fingers crossed I'm not called in
I'm hoping to actually manage to get a few orders completed tonight after work but who knows. Lets see what today brings
Hubby has been paid today so I'm hoping I can add a nice amount of cash into the savings account and as an added bonus it is also interest day on one of the savings accounts so that will give us a little bit more and move us that little bit closer to the view at the top
So today I HOPE I WILL:-- Play on Mistplay (50 points target) - 32 points earnt so far

That is good going, reducing the mountain by just 55p short of £2300.

Good morning,
Wow its hot on the Broads already todayMy doggo is not coping well in this heat at all poor big thing and I have to be honest I'm not looking forward to being in BK later today either. Its basically a tin shed with only one window so what with all the cookers and fryers and hot holds it gets very very hot
I've been so busy working that I really have not had time to get much else done unfortunately - but at least that means I will get some nice pay packets in a few weeks time
I really do need to get some orders made and posted off today though as although I have a day off tomorrow we are off to visit my mum and dad so there will be no time for anything elseSo today I HOPE I WILL:-

Also the tip pot was empty when I went in on Tuesday (now I know why) but by Wednesday morning there was £5 in it (earnt by me and owner as I was the only one working). The tips get shared equally between us depending on hours worked but the other girl who works the front on the days I don't came in got herself two drinks and emptied the tip jar to pay for them. Am I right in feeling annoyed?

You are ploughing through your makes 😃
I'm not sure about your colleague using the tips jar to pay for their order, it depends on what they have arranged with the owners, I would have thought it more appropriate to run up a tab with the cafe and it be cleared weekly/monthly from wages.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Good evening,
A late post from me as been busy working at the cafe today and the last few days have been manic so have had no time to post until nowBetter late than never though hey?
I'm still plodding along with the cafe but it is certainly getting close to being sold soon as the owners have been making inventories of the stock and buying replacement equipment, cups and saucers etc so the equipment inventory fits and the current owner says he should not have to pay anymore rent again now so that would mean the sale will go through by 18th of this month if this is the case. Only time will tell if they keep me on but as a family group of 6 people are purchasing it I have a feeling they will not need anyone else helping them but we shall have to see. The current owners have requested me to complete training using the portal the other lady used to get her qualifications so I have gone ahead and completed this (very easy as I have already passed all the courses for my other jobs) but am planning on completing level 3 health and hygiene and a couple of other courses so if I need to look for a job this will hopefully better my chances. they are all available on the portal anyway so it will not cost my employers anything extra and if I stay it will be good for them anywayI've just got to find time to do them
I also still have to make my mind up about the PYO strawberries position. I have never been great at making decisions as I tend to let my heart rule my head
I have quite a few orders I still need to finish as well today so I'm going to post my list so I can hopefully power through as much as I can and actually feel like I have achieved something
