As you say I'm sure your dd will have a wail of a time, but hugs to you as you will worry until she is home again 🤗craftingmad said:Morning everyone,
I have a 9 hour shift in the cafe ahead of me today so realistically I won't be able to get much else done but in true me fashion I will pf course add a long list of things that really need doing this week and then beat myself up when I achieve nothing at all
Possibly write a list for what is a high priority for that day, plus a week's list that you chip away at throughout the week.
I'm glad I'm not abnormal by worrying about them all the time x
I love the idea of writing my list differentlyI didn't get time to post this morning and probably won't tomorrow either but from Thursday I will certainly give this a try x

Sorry no time to post this morning as OH is working early shifts for the next three days so I am in charge of taking the dog out for her morning walk before going to work so just simply chose to have 5 minutes extra in bed this morning rather than posting
All I have achieved today is 8.75 hours of work at the cafe but that is better than nothing and will really help increase the OP savings pot for the mortgages so I'll take it
Most likely tomorrow will be exactly the same but watch this space as you never know ....Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.021 -
Good morning all,
I'm now not at work until Monday so I am hoping to have a good decluttering blitz of the house and work on my business for the next few days. I've been invited to go back to the original cafe and BK again this year so things are looking good for wages coming in which can be used for our mortgage mountain climb but not so good for juggling and me time but hey - it's a sacrifice I am prepared to take for the next three years or so to hopefully achieve our dream
Hubby's car has gone wrong again but he hopes it is something he can mend this time which will save us another costly garage bill hopefully. That car has been nothing but a pain - I keep trying to persuade him to get rid but it is his mid life crisis car and he loves it!! Wish he loved me even half as much
Following Bailey's advice, I am going to change my list of things I want to get finished today and also for the rest of this week so here goes:-

Enjoy your time off from the cafe.
Today's list still seems ambitious, good luck.
I'm also working through my emails unsubscribing, filtering, filing, answering, chasing, deleting. So far this week I've deleted 5400 emails! Just shows what a mess it is.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases

You were right as always - a far too ambitious list for yesterday especially given as the doggo has an upset belly again and we had to go outside about 6 times yesterday and just would not settle
Good luck with the emails. As fast as I delete and unsubscribe I seem to get my inbox filled up againMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.021 -

Afternoon,
I've spent the day so far tidying more of my craft room and walking the doggo which has been nice as I have to be honest I've been struggling with my mental health today. I'm feeling really down and anxious so I've not pushed myself at all. I plan on taking it easy all day to be honest as I'm just not feeling it today. I'm getting braver at admitting to myself and others when I am struggling so hopefully this will benefit me more in acknowledging my bad days and being kinder to myself when an attack strikes. I think they annoy my OH as he thinks I'm just being lazy but honestly there are days when I just want to curl up under a quilt and be left alone. Today has been one of those days but being gentle to myself has made me feel betterNot 100% back to normal but better
I'm not even going to post a list for today - if I achieve anything it will be a bonus

I'm glad you've made a decision about the cafe and it does sound like the right one. I was very worried about just how much work it would be for you for the amount of return and stress of owning a business.
Cat/dog sitting businesses can be great - a friend is registered on cat in a flat in London and looks after a few, you have to send a video each day of each visit and the cat looking happy/fed. However if you also set up your own local one as well as you could put cards in the local post office/supermarket etc
I think your lists create a bit of anxiety in me and they not my lists.. Can you reframe possibly as what you want to get done this week /month and highlight todays must do's ... that way you are motivated vs petrified of the long to do's
Look after yourselfDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
