10% is a fantastic rate Do you mind me asking who that is with? Do you have to lock it away for so long?Baileys_Babe said:I agree that feeling interest is free money, it encourages me to look for the best places to put our money. Ours is all earning between 4.5% - 10% interest, depending on the account it is in and how soon or frequently I would like to access it.
Have a lovely time with hubby when he is home. How long is he back for?

It really was thanks Baileys. It's another cold day here again today with some rain thrown in for good measure but given what Florida have had to cope with I shan't complain. In fact this week I am determined to make a glass half full kinda week so am looking for the positives in everything (well so far the week is still in its infancy and I have a chip shop shift on Saturday to get through yet ) )
Hubby and I had a sit down and chat about our finances yesterday before I took him to the airport and it really hit home just how far we have come. As well as the money we have already managed to save, we have an investment we started when we took out the interest only BTL 2 mortgage which currently has £63K sitting in it and we really hope it will not go down much before we cash it in - in fact we hope it might go up a bit which will be a bonus so it really only leaves us with a further £56k to find Now I know that's a lot of money but in the grand scheme of things I feel that we have already come so far and broken down it means we only have to find £1400 a month for the next 5 years to complete our goal Now I know that's a lot of money but in the grand scheme of things I feel that we have already come so far and broken down it means we only have to find £1400 a month for the next 5 years to complete our goal
Hubby has also been offered a job with a company down here which he is seriously considering. the money is the same as what he is on at the moment although the job security is not as great but it will mean we will see each everyday again and he won't have any travelling. He has got to read all the paperwork and have a chat with his existing company to see if they will offer more before he makes a decision but it is a good feeling knowing there is another offer on the table.
I have a 9 hour shift at the cafe today so I won't have lots of time for other things but in true me style I will post a long list of things I also want to achieve and fail miserably no doubt
The good news also keeps on coming as my lady has paid for her £106 order so I have to get cracking on that in order to get it posted out asap
Our daughter also has her theory test today so fingers crossed she will pass (she hopefully will as she has passed one before but it has now run out). That will make her one step closer to hopefully being able to drive

It sounds like the chat with your hubby was very positive regarding the investments and his job offer.
You have written a huge list for today, look after yourself you do not want to burn out.

Thanks Baileys. You were right as always. the list was far too long but I was very good and only completed what I could manage (which in yesterday's case was not much after work as I felt exhausted!)Baileys_Babe said:It sounds like the chat with your hubby was very positive regarding the investments and his job offer.

            Good morning everyone,
Sadly the daughter failed her theory test by one mark So near and yet so far So near and yet so far
Hubby has read the new job offer contract and he needs to clarify a few things with them but on the whole it sounds quite promising and he seems to want to take the job so as to be back with us so maybe he does love me more than I think (either that or he misses the dog much more than he lets on!)
I achieved hardly anything yesterday after my 9 hour shift at work as I was exhausted so I choose to look after myself and just rest as much as I could. Daughter has another day off today so I am going to task her with cleaning the kitchen and sorting the dishwasher whilst I am working at the cafe again today. I may even task her with making a chicken curry for dinner if I dare
Nothing exciting to report so I shall just go straight ahead and post my very optimistic list for today

            Morning
Surprise, surprise, I didn't achieve much yesterday but I did have a full eight and a half hours at work and I spent no money all day so honestly that will do me as both things help us move in the right direction
Another 9 hour day for me again today working at the new cafe so once again I don't think I will get much else done but in true me fashion I will post a long list anyway
