I am so excited about this move.....despite it not involving me in any capacity whatsoever!
Good luck for the big day from me and Soot & Ash send helpful meows (although they might just be telling me that it's their treat time!)
You have planned, prepared & packed. Time to do it.

You are all lovely - and yes Cheery, I fully expect it to feel a bit emotional when we lock the doors on the flat for the final time tomorrow!
In the interests of providing "service provider balance" I called Sky at lunchtime - first chance I've had since Tuesday. Started out feeling a bit grumpy as really I wanted a way of dealing with it online which they don't offer. Got even grumpier when they told me I might have a 40 minute wait to speak with anyone...then after about 20 minutes got through to a lovely chap who was most helpful, and VERY efficient. Upshot is a free upgrade to SkyQ (we are still on the old Sky+ system at the moment), a free "home move visit" which is the engineer call out with all the gubbins and to install, and they've booked us in for this to happen on Sunday which is quite astonishingly fast! All in all far exceeding everything I would have expected and they've certainly cemented us staying as a customer for a while longer!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Sounds like Sky have upped their game all of a sudden for you. That's good news at least. I always think the most difficult things about moving are the internet/TV/Gas & Electric etc. The actual move is normally ok. Not that we've moved for 16 years, but hoping to in about 3 or 4 years with any luck.
I'm sure it will all go ok for you, so see you on the other side as they say. xMaking the debt go down and savings go up

Great news about Sky, well done for getting that sorted.
Don't think of it as someone else making money from the fridge freezer, think of it as you helping a stranger with their bills while you get to put the cost of having it otherwise collected in your new MFW fund!
As @foxgloves says, I am ridiculously excited for you despite it having absolutely nothing to do with me 😂
It *will* be stressful tomorrow because that is a necessary element of achieving this brilliant thing. All the important things like money and paperwork and you and Mr EH working as a team are in place. *If* unexpected problems crop up, you are more than capable of managing them x8 -
