Grrr, that's exceedingly vexatious, and really not what you need right now!! 😡3

that's awful for Mr EH; could really have done with not having to do the commute today of all days. Hopefully he'll be able to get away a bit early.
Fingers crossed that everything which needs to be done tonight is done so that the completion and move goes smoothly tomorrow.

so do I!!!! DS told me off the other day for being on Righ1m0ve. I told him it was my hobby
We are very lucky here. The house has a garage and basement underneath the actual house which has planning permission for a 2 bed flat. We intend keeping that permission going and when we are old and can't manage the stairs we will convert downstairs to a flat, leaving the house as it is for the kids to rent out/live in as they please!

Today has started with drama...Voda have "helpfully" decided to terminate our broadband a day early - so MrEH's planned working from home around which ALL our timings for "getting things done" pivoted has now had to be scrapped in favour of a commute, and the office... I'm now trying to make a formal complaint, except they don't actually allow you to do that, insisting that everything has to go through their chat...

It really isn't, is it! Irritatingly as well, once you have let the chat agent raise the complaint, you promptly get sent an email with the reference number, which of course means that you actually have the email address you needed all along. How to turn a 5 minute "dash off an email" process to complain into over an hour of wasted time. Of course, from their perspective I imagine that drastically reduces the complaints they get, and so makes their customer service look better... very disappointing. It will surprise nobody to know that I have now also used that email address to email my formal complaint as well.
I'm actually thinking - is refusing to let someone complain other than via online chat discriminatory I wonder? I mean I can think of a number of circumstances which might mean someone isn't able or comfortable to do the online chat... Hmmm.
So MrEH has now had to go into the office today - of course our plan had been that he would do further odds and ends of packing during the day when on screen breaks, lunch etc, and now he very possibly won't be home until 7pm, knocking a god 90 minutes off the available time he would have had then. Very frustrating.
We did get a fair bit done last night, but actually being ready for tomorrow morning without ending up not making it to bed until the early hours entirely hinged on the extra time in the day that we have now lost. Curtains are down everywhere aside from our bedroom, and all crockery packed aside from the stuff that was in the dishwasher (which ran overnight) and the stuff we need for tonight/tomorrow. We've opted to leave the toaster unpacked for the time being as that gives us scope for toast in the morning - and as the removal men aren't expected until 9am we may well have time for that!
The oven has mysteriously disappeared from the kitchen, and cleaning the worktop sides next to it and the floor underneath proved delightfully simple. It was a devil to shift out though - heavy and awkward. Gas now turned off at the meter and final reading given although we'll have to submit that again tomorrow. We've salvaged the grill pan and metal grid as that just might fit the new oven - we'll see.
Had a confirmation text from FD this morning that the mortgage is all in place, and MrBoss tells me that he's had the funds from them. I've also transferred the balance of our money to him so as far as I know everything on our side is all in place. MrEH is talking to the agent to ensure that the buyer is aware that he money also needs sending today FD tell us that they aren't taking the first mortgage payment until the beginning of October which is a nice surprise - although we will probably make an overpayment for the September amount, truth be told. Life insurance will be in place shortly too. Just decreasing term for a start although we will probably add to that subsequently.
- Need to remember the washing which is out on the airer
- need to unload the dishwasher
- need to put the stuff to travel with us all in one place - some can go straight into MrEH's car boot tonight.
- need to label furniture with room details (masking tape with sticky labels on top)

You've got this EH. You are incredibly organised. Trust the process when everything starts getting a bit overwhelming! Use your lists and labels. If you are getting frustrated/angry/upset then stop, have a drink of water/tea and something to eat. Things will then seem easier to deal with.
Have breakfast before the movers come, make tea into your flasks and fill up your water bottles. Leave snacks where they are easily accessible. Take breaks, look after yourself and MrEH. You have got this!! Good luck!Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2008 -
Broadband issue is hugely annoying but at least you should get a days money back plus hopefully some compo. How's the fridge freezer collection situation?https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

Starnac, thank you - it's solid common sense like that which I needed I think. And yes, all the above plans re tea/coffee/snacks for tomorrow are in place!
PiP - F/F is being collected tomorrow afternoon after we have left - it got snapped up super-fast on freecyle, I suspect by someone who will shortly sell it for some cash for themselves, but there you go! We'll just leave it in the communal area with a label attached that is is being picked up.
New irritation is that sky's blithe assurance that "moving home with us is easy" it isn't - they have no ability to anything online and their "virtual assistant" is a piece of ginormous stinking poo. Sigh.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Adding my voice to the ones say you've got this lass, you WILL be ready, everything WILL get done, and tomorrow evening you'll be in your lovely new home breathing a large sigh of relief! 😊😊 Starnac is right, regular breaks - set a timer if you need to, 25 mins work, 5 mins break, or 15 mins on, 15 off, whatever works to get you moving without feeling overwhelmed.
I think you said to me when I moved to prepare to cry(!) so I suggest you leave yourself some hankies out as well 😁6
