Hey fellow turtles, last post of this year. Just had an amazing late Christmas dinner with goose, ham, pigs, stuffing etc. Will have leftovers for a good few meals. Now chilling with the family, reflecting on the year and looking forward to the new one.
Hope that you all have a healthy, prosperous and happy 2023.
Thank you for all the support and camaraderie, good to be back.

Can't believe the end of the year is upon us! I just read through a note I have on my phone called 'fun things from 2022'. I started keeping a record of this a few years ago, I can't remember what prompted it but I like to look back on it each year. I'm not out there doing crazy things each weekend but it's good to reflect on what I've enjoyed.I've made a few targets for 2023, nothing crazy, and I've set up my month's targets for January ready to go tomorrow.Today has been a NSD, I think I got up to 16. I didn't reach my target of 17 "healthy food" days but did reach 15 so not far off, and we all know December is a tricky one food-wise! I hit my workout goal each week apart from when I was ill at the start of the month so I'm happy with that.Nothing particularly interesting to report today, did some batch cooking and some cleaning. Didn't get out for a walk because of the weather, I usually do walk in the rain but my back is bad today so I just decided to leave it. No plans tonight, will try and get a decent night's sleep and hopefully be fresh-faced for 2023! Have a good one everyone10

NSD 13 done and dusted. Clean sheets on the bed, mattress rotated, kids given their clean bedding and told to get on with it.
Supper tonight is sausages in buns. I simply cannot be faffed, they can fill up any gaping holes with hot chocolate and marshmallows. There is an apple strudel as well.
Tree down and packed away.
Hoovered about a bit.
Happy New Year 🐢🐢🐢 I hope all the 🎇💥💥💥💣💣💣💣are spectacular and the furry friends are not too distressed by it all. I wish you all the very best for 2023.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Today I looked back at my photos from this year… we did so much and it passed so quickly!
2022 has been a wonderful and exciting year for us… 5 years free of the big C, getting the chance to take DS to Diznay, walking him through the gates on his first day at school, watching him perform his nativity lines…precious time with family near and far.You all mean a lot to me too. I am so very thankful for your support, wisdom, motivation, and sharing your own journeys. I wish you a Happy New Year when it arrives and lots of successes (whatever they may be) in 2023. Happy New Year turtles!
we’ll be celebrating with a takeaway, a bottle of fizz and a game of darts on ds new dartboard! Already miss our hot tub as we’d usually use it on NYE!
This year has been kind to our little family so hoping for more of the same for 2023! I’m hoping to finally shake of the doom of covid and return to my 2019 self - or better!

Aargh, just noticed a leak in the kitchen, I think from a dodgy looking velux skylight thing in the roof (it is a single storey extension). Will have to investigate in daylight tomorrow. Great end / start to the yearAnyway, apart from that - Happy New Year everyone! No special plans here, apart from trying to keep the dog from being too stressed due to the inevitable fireworksThanks for this month's challenge @apple_muncher , and I look forward to 'seeing' everyone in January9

I've been in my room for most of the day, decluttering and tidying. Counted my penny tin yesterday and found another £27-03 today (worked hard for it, poking under the bed with coathangers). many many bags of rubbish, recycling and cardboard boxes have left the house (some are still in the yard because the bin they need is already chokka. However my little space is much improved.
Did a couple of hours downstairs so I could get things out to the bins whilst I could still see to get down the path. WM, DW and TD are all in action, I finished the cleaning of my fridge (lots of stuck on bits last time but they were ready to come off now) and filled it with fresh veg, salad and yoghurt. Brought food and drinks, a yoghurt for morning and lots of other things back up with me, I've had a shower and am wrapped in a clean duvet. I've eaten 3 chocolate covered biscuits and hope I'm in the recovery phase because I coughed my lungs out yesterday.
I have lots of plans for next year, some quite detailed and some just scribbled down. Have a lovely evening and I hope we all have a happier times ahead (and less coughing please). Thanks for running December apple6 -
Today I am grateful for a lie in, for WSM (the final is 7.30pm tomorrow on channel 5, if you want to watch it!!!), for finding a couple of bits for dc that I'd forgotten about and which cheered them up, for not having to go anywhere, for swallowing a couple of teeny froglets, for all you turtles out there who all make these threads and challenges so lovely to be a part of ❤️❤️❤️.This month, I challenged myself to complete a set of workouts and I smashed it! I applied for a part time job, and got it (paperwork yet to be completed as it's in a school and therefore nothing happens around cmastime), which is part of chasing my dreams. I bought a fair amount from charity shops. Here's to being the best possible me in January -see you on the other side 😎.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!9
