Amazon doesn't honour my order

I would give up. During lockdown I bought a 'warehouse reduced' treadmill from Amazon at a very good price. It never turned up, and they said they lost it in transit. I suppose it slipped out of a crack in the van floor! I think someone somewhere decided it was far too cheap or else an employee fancied it and cancelled my order. A refund was never a problem, but I wanted the treadmill at the agreed price. You won't win.

Your order is an offer to Amazon to buy the product(s) in your order. When you place an order to purchase a product from Amazon, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order (theOrder Confirmation E-mail
). The Order Confirmation E-mail is acknowledgement that we have received your order, and does not confirm acceptance of your offer to buy the product(s) ordered. We only accept your offer, and conclude the contract of sale for a product ordered by you, when we dispatch the product to you and send e-mail confirmation to you that we've dispatched the product to you (theDispatch Confirmation E-mail
).
What does the tracking for the order say on the courier’s website?
If the courier has a scan a contract has been formed.
If the courier hasn’t had the item then there is a debate to be had as to what dispatched actually means but Amazon are providing fulfilment only and your contract is likely with the 3rd party seller and any claim (such as loss of a bargain) would also be with the 3rd party seller.0 -

For many items there are multiple sellers, who Amazon defaults to will change depending on pricing, stock and delivery.0 -

If your order says fulfilled by Amazon sold by xxx then that is what would have been displayed on the product page at the point of you clicking the add to basket button

Look around, plenty of offers on TV's at the moment - would recommend Richer Sounds over anyone else given the warranty offered at that price point.0 -

The Camelcamelcamel website will show you the pricing history for Amazon, 3rd party and (I think) 3rd party with Amazon fulfilment.
