Thanks Laura, Lucielle and Tahlullah
Just hope the vendor finds something quickly enough.
I nipped out for apple pie and icecream to celebrate. I also wandered around a diy place looking at kitchens and bathrooms just to get a feel for my current tasts
Thanks Jwil - my work thing went much better than expected so hopefully things will be better from here on in - although this morning's issues (hung over from last week) took 3 hours to resolve! I pretty much didn't let them leave until they'd done what I needed.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I'm sure I would learn loads but right now I'm thinking ignorance is bliss!! I daren't add that to my plate right now.
MF - On the house - I think this would fit my main storage type furniture - if anything I'll need some to plug gaps. What I need to review is the shed and garage contents as her shed is tiny where mine is probably 10 ft by 12 or larger plus I have a garage. With them having converted the garage - it saves me a later job - but takes away key storage - so I definitely need to streamline the gardening tools and other appliances that might make a mess on carpet or laminate flooring while I sort out more outside storage. I didn't look in her shed with hindsight I possibly should have done but minute would be a good description. Between a quarter and a sixth of mine at a guess. I have cleared a lot of mine but whether I've cleared enough I don't know. My shed is pretty empty - but I have things like fireworks I don't know how to dispose of safely.
There's a weird mezzanine layer in my garage a bit like a mini loft. That all still needs clearing. My handyman wanted some of it e.g. a cot. I need to see if my sister's kids want the mini surf boards. There's old blinds and all sorts. That's what still wants clearing. I also need to check the contents of my current 'dresser' in the garage - and see if more of that can go. It's books and other similar stuff I think. But I opened a drawer of another unit in the garage and it had tapes in it!! I need to make myself let those go too.
The new house has a loft - but I wasn't intending to use it - so I need somewhere to put suitcases and a Xmas tree and decorations and the like or I need to ensure that access is very very safe. I have 3 cupboards - coat, airing and understairs here - where she has one. So that's a radical difference to get used to as well. I don't get it but there doesn't seem to be any access to the understairs at all which seems a huge waste of space. At some point I'd love to open that up - and that could become the new Xmas stuff storage area - but depending on the cost might not be worth doing. TBF she has a large porch that she's using a bit like a utility - but again there's no separate utility - and I have 3 cupboards in mine.
There will be stuff that can go to DD or one of my siblings or my cleaner or handyman or some FB MP type solution. I'm sure it will sort.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
