Thanks FS 🙂. I've made a starting offer of £10k below but know she has another viewer this afternoon so don't expect to hear anything until Monday. I would need to fit a new kitchen but that isn't the end of the world but is a bargaining chip.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks @TallGirl
I'm anxious and nervous about making the wrong decision. I think the house itself could really work for me. The views are stunning. It's just the travel to work when I have to go in that mainly concerns me and the impact on wider family especially DD. I need more friends and there's a risk that I will become even more isolated - but I have few friends here so I'm not sure how much difference it will make. I'm hoping there will be evening classes I can take and potentially meet people there. The shops in the town the house is in were a wee bit disappointing. I'd have to travel 14 miles for certain shops that are on my doorstep now but that's not a huge issue.
I heard someone call it the tech revolution - enabling people to live more rurally again. That seems to fit. Rather than living for the weekend and the opportunity to see beautiful green hills etc then - it's an opportunity to turn things on their head - and live where I really want and occasionally travel into work and stay over if I need to. If I book well in advance on a flexi deal - I could easily get PI room local to work for £61 a night - maybe even cheaper - and then just cancel it if I don't need it.
To give an example of how ASD affects me - I came home and napped on my chair for 3 hours and then went to bed for another 3 after that as I felt so overwhelmed. That's the part that others don't see - the recovery time after the drive, the social interaction element and the decision fatigue. I didn't take the adhd meds today though - as I hardly have any left - and missed the latest meds run again.
After my naps I had porridge for a late tea around 9.30pm. I'm still torn about what my final offer should be - partly because my existing house is lovely and I just wish I could transport it. Tomorrow I need to focus on the garden and try and get the front lawn mown and try and get on top of things here including doing some weeding and perhaps pruning if the weather allows.
I seem to have done a better job with the cat's flea treatment as 2 days on there don't seem to be many remainders.
I'm really pleased with the painting I finished after the art class. I want to nip to town tomorrow and get some brushes and perhaps a bigger painting art book and folder.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Don't fret about the last few K. If you want it the even £5K is not too high a price considered over for the rest of your lifeI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Anxiety and nervousness about making the wrong decision on a house purchase is understandable. I feel that way too.

I only realised today I'd had a follow up email from the EA to to say the vendor would think about my offer over the weekend and let me know Monday. Me and the vendor really got on - she knows I'm divorced and trying to make it on my own - and we both shared about our life struggles. I'm hoping that may go in my favour when she considers price. She still needs to find somewhere to move though so not sure how long that will take her either.
I stayed in bed 10 hours (after yesterday's 6 hours of naps) and still feel what I call 'drugged hungover'. It's a side effect of my anti-D in part which I took an hour or two late last night - plus I've been running on empty for work for a few weeks, plus the flu jab and house decisions. It will also be because I've not taken ADHD meds this week - I kind of feel if this is what my body feels like under the meds - it's good to give myself a break at the weekend.
I've unpacked and packed the dishwasher. I need to make myself get dressed and go out. I want to put some washing on before I leave so some of the noise is over with before I return. I also need to update my spreadsheet with yesterday's spends.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well I had a nice afternoon.
I nipped to HCft and BnM and bought some art stuff. Nipped to Mr A and got some food and my prescriptions. Then DD came and collected a load of furniture and her belongings. I gave her the crockery set I bought on my last holiday, a tripod lamp still in box, another lamp and mirrors, pictures and furniture from her room. I've also given her a little money to buy a few bits. Plus random things like a still wrapped toilet brush, dust brush etc. Her BF and his Dad came to help and she filled both carsThey're setting up their first home as a couple which feels exciting. She was telling me all about their colour scheme and desired 'aesthetic' it was all quite sweet.
I need to clean up the marks she left behind on the walls of her bedroom. If I wasn't moving - I'd now repaint her room. Does this count as decluttering? If so I've made huge inroads this weekend!! She's interested in some storage in my garage - but we're not 100% sure if all the pieces to a Swedish shop 'Dresser' are there - but if they are it's a nice piece of furniture. Plus there's other stuff. But she's going to come back and look another day.
It feel a momentous weekend!
I did a recognisably sketch of my nephew jumping o his bike - by recognisable I don't mean his face - I mean the theme. I didn't quite get the angle of the bike right but I think I drew his body shape in action quite well. I need to look for an eraser and see if I can improve the angle - if not I may give it another go. All these years I've been telling myself I couldn't draw rather than looking for a reference image and using that! Doh!
