Your sis will appreciate the loan of cooking equipment.
Gifts sound good, as do the flowers, and DD is always looking for ways to boost her money!
Enjoy your visit.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4 -
Thanks Jwil and MF
Sis was made up. I had a lovely time with my little niece and nephews. I also took over some of the curtains I was supposedly decluttering months ago. I hope some of them are of use. She fed me which was nice. Felt like a good use of my Sunday. Still need to straighten the lounge as not tidied up again after unearthing various items. Only working 2 days this week - then I'm off.
I am having my hair done on Wednesday which will be nice too. DS comes home Friday. He's going to look at a couple of accommodation possibilities tomorrow hopefully. All seems to be coming together for him.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

It's nice feeling organised for Xmas as in there's nothing more I need to buy - just need to wrap stuff.
I have physio tomorrow and I realised this morning I haven't even started to do the exercises yet. Need to do 3 or 4 sets of 4 exercises today and 1 tomorrow so I can at least say I've done some before my morning appointment.
Bank accounts looking reasonable. I need made a few amendments to my grocery order which is due Thursday. Added things for neighbour too who will refund meAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

You sound very organised
Your sister must be happy having cooking equipment especially with kids - maybe encourage her to get one of those Instant Pots that fry, pressure cook, saute etc - mine has changed my life and I do have a full oven and hob.
Well done on all the savings focus, you are doing great. Your Gail % exercise sounds useful - I have not done mine yet.. In the gap after Xmas I will have a look at my spending for 2022, I think my social life is going to turn out to be more expensive than I like to admitDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks @ohdearhowdidthathappen MF and @LadyWithAPlan
The Gail exercise was reassuring. It will be interesting to read how yours comes out.
Well I got my mortgage breakdown this week - it was stuck in the post. It's reassuring to see how the interest element is reducing over the months. My calculations were out by about £4 which is pretty good really.
I went to physio this morning. She did some painful massage where I compared her to someone asking 'Does this hurt?' and then repeatedly pressing harder!! We laughed about it though. She also did some ultrasound. I have now finished work until the 3rd which is lovely. DD told me at the last minute that she was going to see her Dad and may stay over so I have the house to myself this evening. My lounge is looking burgled again but thankfully my cleaner comes tomorrow. I need to cellophane wrap my cleaner's hamper and one I did for a sister. I've finished most of the wrapping - which is where the mess originated from. I want to finish wrapping tonight other than one thing that's coming with the grocery order. Then at least that part of the mess can be tidied away.
I want to do some painting (art) but feel too cold. I now have the heating on to address that but it's likely to take a while. Feeling really exhausted - having been getting to sleep at gone 1am the last few nights not helped by DD coming home in the early hours of the morning after seeing friends. Tomorrow, I get my hair done which will be nice. Ideally I'll pick up a treat for the hairdresser and buy some mini caterpillar cakes for DS... I had a new debit card arrive - and it wouldn't let me use it to repay debt the other day so don't know if I need to make a purchase with a pin first but a bit stuck. I need cash tomorrow so will try that but may need to take a backup card in case... as I'd cut up the old one before I realised there was a problem!
