Thanks FS, WD, Jwil, Skint, @Humdinger1 and Beanie

I've since added my nephew's name to the owl using gold thread and pipe cleaners. Hope he likes it. Planning to give his brother a sock monkey I made a few years ago. Just hope they / their parents appreciate them.

DS arrived super early today - most of his stops got cancelled which meant he came straight here instead of his Dad's. He actually woke me up to tell me!! We nipped out and bought 3 more bird huts (£3 each at HB if you are looking for ideas) to decorate - so hopefully that can be a project for me, DD and DS tomorrow at some point.

Luckily the food I bought yesterday was easy - garlic bread and pizza for lunch and then lasagne and chips for tea today. Tomorrow we're having steak and chips for tea - but may have something simple like macaroni at lunch as I hadn't planned for him being home that extra meal. The only meat I think I have in the freezer is for roasting and I was planning to save that for New Year. We're at my parents Xmas Day and then the kids go off with Ex Boxing Day. DS isn't due to be here for food on the 27th but who knows. Pretty sure I have mackerel in the freezer so will still be a treat of a sort that I can have Boxing Day and I'll have one spare steak. I'm also planning to make some cheesy potato skins using sour cream.

I've made DS a choc fudge cake with white jazzes on top. Looking forward to eating that.

Love the bird boxes, shame we don't have a HB nearby.  The cake looks delicious!

    Have a lovely Christmas :) 🎄

That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy
