And amazingly lots of the perennials and bulbs will survive being under the snow for weeks if not months due to no winter sun hitting the garden. Nature is amazing3

@savingholmes thinking about it, by living life on your own terms, I think what I mean is deciding on your priorities and acting accordingly, rather than reacting to external pressure that doesn't fit with your philosophy. You're doing brilliantly love Humdinger x6

@savingholmes
I've just been catching up with your journey. It's all too easy to focus on the things that we haven't yet achieved, rather than stop, look behind us and see just how far we have come. Maybe you need to occasionally acknowledge all of the incredible things you have (and are) achieving and celebrate those? :-)
On the exercise front, is there anything you can do just to incorporate a little bit more movement into your day? Maybe walk around the block and time yourself - and then try and do it slightly quicker the next day? Or maybe make a point of walking to the shop whenever you need to get milk (for example). If you have an upstairs & downstairs loo, you can always go to the one furthest away or, if you don't have 2 loos, then use the stairs more anyway by taking things upstairs one at a time. Another thing that I would highly recommend is a really fun lady called Lesley Sansone. She does tons of (free) you tube videos where the exercise is just walking! And the great thing is that there are different timed videos, depending on how much time you have.

Life is improving again after having had a bit of a dip. So thrilled DS has got a new job and is now on top of his £. He still has debt but he has a clear plan. DD is out clubbing with a friend. Just hope she stays safe.
I've found yet another box of Xmas lights and baubles. I have some tripod lamps so have wrapped some of those green garland type things round them and then added decorations so it looks almost like a tree in the lounge but it's not taking up extra space. The tree is in the hall. I added two sets of lights outside and put them on a timer. I found the net lights that I'd been looking for but I need a stronger adaptor than any of the ones I've found so can't put those up - but that's okay. I still have a spare set of lights that I am debating where to put or I may just keep them. There are some lights that have their plugs cut off - need to take those to the tip.
I still need to wrap I got side tracked by all the pretty lights. I am loving all my lights but they are all quite short between plug and light and then the end of the lights themselves hence having so many sets. Didn't think that through enough when I/we bought them originally but current me is grateful regardless. Having seen what I still have even after giving a bag of decorations away earlier in the year - I really don't think I 'need' to ever buy more decorations...
I found a really pretty glass bauble today with an angel inside holding a star. So pretty - it was a gift from a relative - but I don't remember even getting it. Privileged. Lots of my decorations make me smile - I have some hand prints from when DD was little decorating the tree - and named decorations I was given the year the kids were born. Things like that make decorating special.

As you know I also struggle with maintaining activity levels. I read this interesting article the other day, and I'm going to try and do these few minutes of vigorous activity each day to make a difference, whilst also aiming to be more active generally."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
