Crisis team thankfully agree granma cannot be on her own. They are looking for a dementia home for her.
She flatly refused the suggestion of a home, so instead we are ‘moving her into a new hotel’.
She thinks her current home is a hotel, and the ‘owners’ upstairs are stealing her clothes and drilling holes through the ceiling to look at her. Nonsense of course.
But as she hates the ‘current hotel’ shes living in and has already packed her bags, hopefully this will smooth the transition.
Shes not leaving the hospital until they have something set up, which is great.Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

I'm glad gran is getting the help and support she needs Raphael.. knowing she is safe will take a lot of stress off you.Pixie has an infected finger.. so I dealt with that.I have girls to feed and then I will start on the grotty kitchen and maybe see if I have the spoons for the front room. I don't think I have kitchen spoons in truth. I am making a couple of small doom boxes from the corner and dealing with them in bits. I just cannot face it all in one go. I filled a carrier of rubbish so have made a tiny start.
Plumber #8 is coming 'at one' ..... *laughs at the irony*
Plumber #6 has messaged and asked if he can come today.. my head couldn't be polite so I have not replied yet.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)7 -

To Do Today (in no particular order)
Get dressed ✅
Write & deliver D's birthday card ✅
Check up on Pops (phone call) ✅
Feed the birds ✅
Put out the recycling ✅
Put away the washed pots
Declutter / put away 1 item (every little helps)
DS's Dad arrived unexpectedly this morning. DS had told him that I'm struggling. Usually DS's Dad (PJ) would be the first person that I turned to, but he is supporting his brother through end stage cancer so I figured that he had enough on his plate right now without me sobbing all over him. I explained this, we had a coffee and a long chat, and I reassured him that I'm coping and have sought professional support. He then received a phone call to say his brother is in a bad way and had to leave. I'm waiting for news.
Pops wants me to go round for a coffee. He says the antibiotics are working and he's feeling a bit better....he didn't sound it!
When I delivered D's birthday card ( my youngest godson, 19 today) I also called at Mr C00p to buy food. I would happily live on Weetabix and toast when I'm depressed but the counsellor said to eat more healthily. Chocolate covered raisins is fruit? Right? 😉
The sun is shining. I'll walk round to see Pops. Exercise ✅
Hugs

Hi ladies
Round biggest of cuddles to you lovely. You know where my inbox is xx
I absolutely need to be in for accountability, and Piggers has inspired me with her list. In no particular order this is what absolutely has to happen this evening and over the weekend:
- 5 hours of paid stuff across Saturday and Sunday
- Put Christmas decorations up at home
- Attend Christmas light switch on in the village
- Buy more hay
- Take delivery of sheep
- Deep clean both chicken houses
- Clean out both fires thoroughly
- Change my bedding
- Try to parent the children adequately throughout all of the above
- Drop eggs and carrier bags off with a friend
- Collect bread from another friend
- Drop soft plastics off at Co-op
- Encourage DD to finish her homework
- Ensure the dogs get enough exercise
- Steam clean bathroom and all downstairs floors
- Drink wine and collapse in a heap.
Big love to you all x11 -
Good afternoon 😊
I had a lay in this morning. When I got up I stripped the bed & put WM on a hot wash. Bedding is now dry & folded and ready to go back on the bed. DH is upstairs, so I am hoping he will do it 😁
Small shop done at Mr S. Food bin emptied.
Invoice paid at garage across the road for mot & service of DHs car. I left them my car key & they have topped my tyres up with air & put the car back in front of the house 👍I am all set now for a trip to see DD1 & DGS tomorrow 😁
Hotel booked for the weekend as DD1 is stressing. She has insisted we stay at hers, so I need to cancel that (free cancellation until 4pm tomorrow). Part of me was looking forward to a couple of nights in a large cat/dog free bed and the use of a swimming pool & gym!! 😂 But I don't want to upset her...
Paid stuff this afternoon, but just one well behaved 4 yr old so nice and easy!
DH has put the plastic sheet back on the shed. I'm still waiting for it to be felted, hence the plastic. I think he is going to ask DSiL(to be) to help. I said I will happily pay him! (He also should have asked about 4 months ago!!)
I am now going to unpack and play with my new toy - a carpet spot washer!
ASB & Pigpen - good luck with those lists! They are mega!!
Round Hugs to you. Well done for seeking help - sometimes that can be the hardest thing to do 😘 Keep on keeping on 👍

Hi all
Good day at the paid stuff, managed a walk at lunchtime, was out for nearly an hour.
I have muttered lots of expletives at the weather today. The forecast was for it to be sunny and breezy so I did 2 loads of washing, and it has rained on and off all day. I gave up and put the wet washing from yesterday in the drier and the still wet washing from today over the airer with the dehumidifier on. Sigh.
It is our town's Christmas Lights switch on event tomorrow. And I am in charge. And most of you will know that I get a tiny bit anxious about the smallest thing. However, at the moment I feel OK about it. Everything that can be planned has been planned and I just want to crack on with it now.
Half an hour with my feet up then will go and make a chicken pie for tea.8 -
Pops says he's feeling better.
PJ'S brother is thought to have caught a bug.
I've dropped a bag of books off at a friend's - for her to take to her church. So that's my one thing out today.

Flingy flingy fling fling…took the CS stuff in car to drop off after work today and someone came into the cafe who, it turns out, was on her way to work there so I asked if she’d take my bags…I’m nothing if not cheeky and it does no harm to ask and she could’ve said no. So stuff has gone to the Sally Army.Bleached some mould near bath . Emptied DW. Oh I ironed too
