December 2022 Grocery Challenge

I am pretty sure we've finished shopping for the year. I won't finalise yet as there will be one £50 GP amount due before the end of December. I will then add up all our weekly spends and see how we did across the month.
I needed bananas today as I practically live on them, my Mum was going to the shops so I asked her to get me some and also some eggs. My Mum gave me her bananas as she didn't want them and bought me 2 boxes of 6 free range eggs as that was all each customer was allowed. I am pretty sure they will be a freebee for me so no spends today.
I am going to work very hard in January to eat out of the cupboards as much as possible.*Stop giving up what you really want for what you want now*
*Face your fear, don't do what's easy, do what is right, fight for it because it will be worth it*

£3.09 spent today... making this months totals so far £453.08/£460.
It's getting close! But I am OK with that as January will be "eat it all up" month!
Tomorrow I will be off to the supermarket early to try and pick up some bargains on Christmas puddings, Cranberry sauce and Christmas cards all ready for next year.

Hello all,
Update on the supermarket visit this morning. Disappointing 😆 no reduced items, so I grabbed 5kg of sugar (thank you to whomever suggested this as it is 75p per kg instead of 95p) then a 19p Swede, bag of carrots, and three heads of Broccoli. All ready to Chop and freeze. I'll update you later on my 2good2go box.
Hope everyone is having a lovely day. I have done a complete food inventory today and have meal planned through to the end of January with just one gap, so will see what I get in my TGTG box later and incorporate that also. I plan for January to be an exceptionally frugal month food shopping wise!
Happy boxing day!Grocery Challenge 🍇🍈🍉🍊🍋🍌🍍

Two big, for me, shopping trips just before Christmas. Lots of reductions, the freezers are now full to capacity! Also lots of cheap veg and treats. Note to self, don't shop with children or partner. Total spend for all this, £220.90. Total for the year to date is £3018.76/£2640. Quite a lot over, but I fed seven each day, plus DD3 for half the year, two extra small ones for six weeks, and visitors. A little over £1 per year per day, food, household and cleaning. Prices are shooting up. I'm hoping to do similar next year, watch this space.
Not declaring for the year yet, we will need milk! Hugs, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.6 -
