Well done @gill5blue!
I'm declaring at £51.46/£133 for the main GC and £1.80/£40 for my Baking Budget.
The massive underspend is entirely due to my having spent most of December languishing on the sofa rather than risking temptation in the shops! I've rolled the extra money into the Christmas and birthdays funds in order to start the new year with a clean slate, so see you all over on the January 2023 thread.
Happy New Year to all.5 -
Hi all - like several others I've lost track somewhat - but a quick tot up and I'm confident I'm still well within budget, even allowing for christmas treatiness being allowed for in there! I've got a week to go yet - just one more weekly shop - but also shouldn't need a huge amount as we are quite well stocked.
I got a nice little T's YS haul yesterday which was useful and will provide fillings for a good few lunches, some "picky bits" for weekend teas (and some cheese!) and components for several main meals too - just over £8 spent and good value got I feel. Did notice T's new sneaky thing of showing the amount an item was reduced by rather than the actual YS'd price on the receipt though - I can't see that being for any other reason than to reduce the queries on YS'd prices coming up wrong as it's far more time-consuming to check on now.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Today I added up the 2022 shopping spends and it all came to £2288.09 ... an average of £44.00 per week for everything for the two of us, that included regular donations of items to Tesco food bank. So pleased because with all the price rises I was sure we'd have spent more than we did in 2021 but it was actually £86.11 less. I know that's not much of a saving but it has spurred me on to try and do even better this year. Many thanks to everyone on the Grocery Challenge for helping and inspiring me. Happy New Year and good luck to all in 2023.7

Finally totted up my Dec spends and spent £151.92 out of a possible £202.17. Seemed to catch every lurgy going so wasn't well enough to do much shopping.
£45 was supposed to be used to stock up my freezer but it wasn't to be so this will carry forward to Jan.
Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

Gah - I’m over but not sure by exactly how much as I know there were some non food bits in with the supermarket spending - but I have been super organised and already shredded the receipts! 🤦🏻♀️🙄 I’m declaring at £258 though which is as close as I can get it. I did manage a super-low £16 for the weekly shop this week though so that is at least something!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Another month where we didn't keep within our budget. I have a lot of stuff left, but that is no excuse. Like a supremely lazy person, I didn't total the receipts after my last update. These definitely amounted to much more than the target spending but were also full of cashback items. I'm closing this month with another £30 added to both of my totals. I promise to do better in the new year.
Total expense for December- £160.51/£120 bulk expense- £109.15/£100
