Isladog said:the issue date is 22 MAR.With a Claim Issue Date of 22nd March, you have until Tuesday 11th April to file an Acknowledgment of Service but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 24th April 2023 to file your Defence. That's over four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.6 -
I have now received a Notice of proposed Allocation to the small claims Track.
Also says i can use the Small claims Mediation Service.
Should i use this service?0 -
No. Mediation is pointless, and the mediator may well try to bully you into agreeing a payment.
Mediation goes like this.
PPC - Pay up
You - No
End of mediation.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

No. I am concerned that you need to re-read the IMPORTANT: KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN' red heading section in the NEWBIES thread.Isladog said:I have now received a Notice of proposed Allocation to the small claims Track.

In particular go to and read the link to the 'Court Procedures' explanation thread by @bargepole which tells you about all stages including not agreeing to mediation.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Does anyone know if Excel Parking have to adhere to any codes about typing errors on parking machines? . I can find a code that the AOS have produced but not sure if Excel parking follow this code . It is with regard to making a minor mistake ...one wrong letter punched into the key pad .0

There was a Tweet by the IPC saying that motorists shouldn't be 'marginalised' by single digit keying errors.
Maybe someone on Twitter can find it.
But if you use the example WS wording that I added in a reply in the Template Defence thread (last week) then you can quote the new incoming DLUHC Code section on keying errors. You'll see what I mean when you look at the WS wording that I suggest.

Section 17 of the British Parking Association Code of Practice covers the steps a parking operator should take when a keying error occurs. If there has been a minor keying error, for example one digit entered incorrectly, the parking operator is expected to have identified this before issuing a Parking Charge Notice. If they failed to do this, they are expected to cancel the Parking Charge Notice when the motorist appeals.
