With most people giving up after only making 15p-30p i expect the trail to be a complete failure at reducing actual real demand.
If they did £10 a kwh with an adjustment 1hr before and 1hr after, with just 2hrs warning then 90% of people without home batts or an EV could do the only thing they can actually do and that is to move diner time around.
People home charging an EV at 6pm must be very rare, i hope.1 -

If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?1 -

The whole way they ran the DFS events was extremely poor.
We would not take part without some kind of IDA.6 -

I'd also weigh up whether I'd want to end the relationship with them and switch supplier. But that's separate to the issue of what I'd do if the calculation was legitimately changed in the future.I took part in the original Octopus Big Dirty Turn Down trial in early 2022, and rewards for that were much less generous than the current DFS even with IDA removed.

Good morning, can anyone help me explain how my data, attached, is calculated to provide the .82712 kWh in day adjustment.0

You seem to be missing data for the in day adjustment period between 1st - 14th March. When you have that, you take an average for each half hour period for those prior 10 days. Then subtract these average usage figures from the IDA half hour figures on the session day and average those results to get the IDA used in the session. All explained in detail in the early pages of the thread.0
