Octopus Saving Session

Home EV charges will auto opt-in and that will be a large saving, Or at least maintain current peak levels. NG claim they can forecast very well for the day ahead so short notice should really not be much of a problem.0

As mentioned several times, they did send notifications, including a push notification in the app, and a Twitter notification for those who did not have the app. The problem seems to be lack of awareness of these methods of notification. Also, some complained on Twitter that they were at work and weren't in a position to check until they got home, by which time it was too late. but unfortunately that's life, not everyone is going to be able to participate in every session.

How long does it normally take to find out how much you've saved? I joined the Octopus saving session last week for the first time after moving over from Bulb and am eager to see if we saved anything?!0

It's been taking about a week. Octopus has been having some trouble pulling people's usage data, so I'm fine with them taking a bit more time over it rather than giving people whose data hasn't come through promptly an average (small) number of Octopoints.Midgetgem8200 said:How long does it normally take to find out how much you've saved? Heads up, possibly a test session tomorrow, well know about 2.3012

any session on?0

There is confirmed test between 18.30 and 19.30 tomorrow 23/03/23, with a requirement of 300MW in each 1/2hr slot. We will find out around 4.30 who applied and the price agreed and from that we can deduce who will be running saving sessions or the equivalent. On previous tests most suppliers were included when the requirement was 300MW per half hour. You can check yourself https://data.nationalgrideso.com/dfs/demand-flexibility-service-test-events or wait for someone else to post back here.5
