It looks like you are sending power to your solar panels (or, more likely, I've misunderstood what that icon is supposed to be)???

When I had 15+ kw going this morning (this was when I turned on the second oven), the light flickered ever slightly (dimmed a little then back more brighter) and the consumption dropped to 9+kw. So I switched the second oven off, the consumption went back to 14kw where the house seems to be happy.

Not sure if that was Zappi reducing the load? Also not sure why would this be, we have a 100a fuse but the electrician said the other week that the mains cable is limited to 80A (if I understood it correctly). Why would it shy from 15kw?

(Edit: the light that flickered was plugged in in one of those power surge protection extension leads, quite an old one with green and red lights, not sure if that is relevant..)

Perhaps it was your Zappi balancing the load? Or there is a setting in it that causes it to shay away from 15kW? (I don't have a Zappi, but am very interested)

Could well be, Zappi has sooo many settings (and I'm the kind of person that never reads the manual!) perhaps there is a limitation there in the settings not allowing the load beyond 15+kw, I'll have to google it

If it's stuff you would have done anyway, just usually later in the day/week/month, then it's not really a problem.

Dishwashers benefit from a good boil up to clean them now and again too.  ;)
True, if the dishwasher hadn't had a hot cycle yesterday to take advantage of the sun I'd have set that overnight too. As it is I found a few bits to go in for a quick wash with the breakfast stuff as I watch the sun rise behind the one large cloud in an otherwise clear sky and wonder if it will scupper my chances of another import free morning.

Make hay while you can but surely there will be a crack down on this at some point (we did the same on our first saving session today shifting usage that would normally be later in the day to 5-8am)

The results will be interesting ours is with loop btw £2.50 per kWh mainly because it's a litter with Eon next whether they choose you or not.
