MissPennySave said:Well I just did some scenarios on my spreadsheet, and I will definitely pay less interest worst case doing it that way, but I did also discover I should swap around CC4 and my loan, and pay the loan of before CC4, it brings my DFD forward by 1month and saves me £554.55 in interest!! So thank you for making me recheck my calculations!!

£554.55 is better in your pocket that's for sure.

Hello!!! and Happy Friday everyone. Sorry I've been m.i.a, work/life has been a bit crazy!! But I am still here and still on track, but I had a couple of unexpected payments this week so unfortunately for 1 day my CC (the one I use and clear immediately) had a £40 balance on it, but it's payday today so it's now cleared, but it also means I am £40 down on this months budget, but I do have £61 confirmed on TCB so that will even things up! Anyway, hope you all have great days ahead!

Happy Monday everyone, hope you all had good weekends! We had homemade burger and chips for dinner last night, I cannot believe how much 1kg of beef is now! £6.10! Madness. Anyway, I made 4 big burgers and 8 small burgers and have frozen the ones we didn't eat, you can cook them straight from frozen as well, I now just have to remember that they are in the freezer!! Hoping for as many NSDs as I can this week, I fancy a bit of a challenge! I did a big shop at the weekend so hopefully other than bread, milk, and of course bananas, I am going to try and muddle through with everything we have, and I seriously need to go through the freezers to see what else I have in there, I'm sure there are a couple of frozen chilli's I made in January in there as well me and my husband can have one night. I also have some more mince so will make some meatballs and a homemade pasta sauce using up some tinned tomatoes, I seem to have about 4 tins in the cupboard!
I did awful with the AFDs in February as well, there was just so much going on and I definitely used wine as a tool to relax a little too much, so I will be cutting back on the wine in March. I should find out in the next couple of weeks what my bonus and payrise will be, I'm not expecting much, but it will be nice to be able to update my spreadsheet with the figures!
Anyway, I think that's all for now, we all have the dentist after school today, I hate the dentist at the nest of times, let alone with a 2 and 6 year old as well, wish me luck!!

Tinned tomatoes are in more than half of the meals I make from scratch so we always have some in the cupboard, along with puree tubes
We only have a small freezer now, but at our old house when I had a big one iI used to keep a list of what we had in there and stick it to the front. Before that all too many things were lost to freezer-burn!
Hope the dentist goes OK

Ooooh yes!! We have a spare fridge freezer in the garage, that's where I put all the things I cook and freeze, then promptly forget about them, so a list on the front would be a great way to remind me what's in there!! Thank you

We keep a list of the contents of the freezers on a shared document that we can both access from our phones so we can keep it up to days as we go.
It works well for us, but we are not perfect at remembering to update the list every time so a couple of times a year we go through the freezers to get the list back in line with reality.
We are probably due our next review session.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Morning all, so I woke up to 2 balance transfer offers, which is good news as hopefully the affect of all the bank account switches is starting to ease off my credit file. Anyway, one is a 18month offer with a 3% fee with £5500 available, I'm not sure whether to utilise it now, and guestimate the balance that will be left on CC2 when that promotion ends in September, or to sit tight, keep plugging away at the debt and hope I have a decent offer available in August to be able to use! The other offer is 12months but only £500 available so not really worth worrying about that for now I think. MPS.xNovember 2022 - £46,626.96 / May 2025 - £5,970.00

The other option is to take some of the balance from CC4 which has a 4.9% rate on it, and reduce the monthly payments by £50 and just pay the minimum on the 0% card for the time being, I'm sure I would save interest in the long term doing it that way. I'll have a play around with my spresdsheet.November 2022 - £46,626.96 / May 2025 - £5,970.00
