It really winds me up that they restrict us yet scammers are free to carry on spamming and scamming.

I got the commenting restriction yesterday and it's still on this morning.  How long is it likely to last ?  I was enjoying doing the Instagram advents.

My Instagram account can no longer view any content at all in the browser - any page I try to view looks like the Instagram account I am trying to look at doesn't exist (as if every single company's account has gone)... but if I go incognito, the pages show fine.

Stupidly, I can still do everything fine with the SAME instagram account, from my phone.

This seems to be an extension of blocking my desktop from being able to follow any new accounts about a month ago - now I can't even look at any Instagram accounts or posts whatsoever from the desktop... yet it's not account-level, since it works from the app on my phone.

Instagram really, really hates people who enter competitions - and advent time and the amount of companies now using instagram from competitions, is making us all look like "Bots" to Instagram's abysmal algorithms.

EDIT:  I can still click people's links to direct Instagram posts - I just can't visit any company's "main page" / profile page, to view all their posts, trying to do that looks like their account no longer exists - but only if I am logged in, and only on desktop.

I haven't been able to comment for 24 hours. Seeing all the great final day comps and everyone else able to enter is sad. Can still like, so thankfully there are still a few that just ask for a like.

it has done this to me today, thought I had been lucky this year with the advents, but being the 12th day and the last day for some, the prizes are bigger and I cannot enter them

I'm able to comment again now my ban lasted 4 days. Wonder how long it will take to get banned again

I haven’t been able to tag for 3 days now, and it’s my second ban in advent, my first lasted 24 hours. I’m using my second insta which I use for real life (cake lol) for comps now. I might consider setting up a back up comping insta ready for next advent as I was enjoying the advent comps until my bans!
