Anybody getting the above? Trying (and failing) to follow a page like Jet2indulgent. 

I'm not a heavy user (so it can't think I'm spamming) and it just started since Friday 11/11/22

Mine went off 1am Friday, I had only tagged one person. It had restricted me for an hour on Thursday afternoon, it's been 3 days and it still won't let me do anything so I set up a new account today to use until I can use my proper account again (had posted so many comps and not been able to enter any)

Three horizontal lines top right  > Settings > Help > Report a problem (or if you have this on an iPhone, shake the phone when the warning message appears). You can try and plead your case and say what you were doing and why you weren't spamming.

I suspect that if you have only just joined Instagram, you will get less leeway.

When you get your privileges back, you should behave more like a normal Instagram user than just a comper by not just tagging friends in comp posts. Try liking a few pages, liking posts, getting people to follow you and posting things to your Instagram story.

Thanks, I reported the jet2 one properly and others reported when the message appeared.

Oddly, it permitted me to follow one on iPad. (Desktop Chrome didn’t) 

Been on instagram 2yrs and half roughly

Sorry, I misread your post. I thought you said you had started on 11/11 rather than it had started.

I had a problem tonight with the same error message coming up, and I haven't been on IG for nearly a week. I couldn't follow anyone. However, I was using my laptop. I tried to enter the comp on my mobile, and it went straight through no probs. Try to use the app on your phone, rather than via desktop. I keep my phone next to me if I am doing any IG comps because you can't share to your story when using desktop alone.

I get that message if I try to follow when using Chrome on laptop, but I can follow ok if i use my phone.  Commenting/tagging/liking all ok on Chrome

Yep, the same, no luck on a PC, fine on an iPad. Interestingly, my new account (replacing blocked and deleted account) has no problems on the PC, but it affects the wife's (cough, cough) account that's been going for a couple of years.

Exactly same - started a few days back, only affects me in the browser, I can still do everything fine with the Instagram app on my phone, but doing things on the computer is way easier.  They must have done some bulk hit this past week and got lots of us compers in the wide-net??

I'm having the exact same problem using chrome on my pc but able to follow ok when using the IG app on my phone. I've tried by using a VPN on Opera as I was wondering if it was IP related but it is still the same. I find it strange how it blocks through a web browser on the pc but not through my mobile phone app. I have also tried downloading the windows IG app and that is the same with the message.

I've posted normally on instagram this week but still unable to follow anyone-i haven't entered instagram competitions for ages , so it wasn't too much tagging. Again with me , not working on chromebook but worked on phone.
