Thought Id get organised b4 xmas and get my prescription sorted, so visit to gp - usual repeat order plus drops for ear.
dropped off at Asda - delay - nothing new there, so came home, bless him my dad offered to get the prescription as he was going out, he handed the skip over confimed the address with the assistant.
Bear in mind ( use example name)
Miss jenny Jones
he brought package home, thought no more of it, open the bag only 1 item, thought he'd bben nice and put the others away and left the new item out, only on closer inspection the label was addressed
Mr John Jones -
Worst thing is the prescription was for pencillian which I am allergic to - very severe consequences - all over my medical records no pencillian-
I am absolutely seathing, this could of been very serious, I only didnt take it as I thought Im sure I was meant to have ear drops.
Apart from the store does anyone know who I can complain to, I dont mean to sound vendictive to anyone - but there are meant to be 2 checks done on an item dispensed before the person on the counter hands them out! x

Inevitable - when you take it to the high street.
I dont trust anyone but my local pharmacy which are situated 2 doors away from my doctors surgery.
Any problems are easily reseolved that way personally, rather than the impersonal feel of an Asda or Tesco etc0 -
It would only be checked by 2 people to ensure the correct dosage/drugs are made up for the order - once its in a bag and handed out then they should check the name on the label , if they don't then anyome could get handed the items.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0

not sure from your post what was mislabeled. it is not a dispenser error if the bottle was labelled correctly. two check the actual dispensing. the counter assistant must have handed over the wrong pack.
you can complain at the chemist, but if you are not happy with the outcome you can complain via your PCT.x x x0 -
This may be of some interest to you OP

Basically the label has same surname, different 1st name, wasMr instead off Miss. so was obviuously incorrectly dispensed by the phapmasist and the assistant ¬
Im allergic to pencillian, so obviuosly its my concern xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Sounds like they gave you someone else's prescription. I don't know but I would imagine that they are grouped by surname whilst awaiting collection.
I don't think they made an error with the prescription, just grabbed the wrong bag.
Yours should still be there.more dollar$ than sense0 -
My local pharmacy asks for the first line of your address to confirm rather than use names. The man without a signature.0

Its kicked off big time, been in contact with the PCT there now dealing with it as an offical complaint, the pharmacist is blaming the member of staff who gave out the item, but she was bit shocked when I politely pointed out that the bag had no pharmacy label on, so there argueing betweeen themselves.
The supermarket manager apologised then said its not our fault we have nothing to do with the pharmacy !!!! Yes I appriciate that the pharmacy is regulated differently to grocery side of the business but whilst its trading under the name of Asda, the staff are in uniform they are Asda employees.
He then offered to send me an apology letter with a voucher for my inconvience, and suggested as the matter had been brought to his attention it was sorted -- so said yes to letter, yes to voucher, but complaint stands, so were have to wait and see,
Best bit just got off the phone from the manager -would it be possible for them to come round to the house to discuss the matter!! I pointed that Im up to my neck in study as Im studying Law (passed my 1st yr of law at open uni), so no it would not be appropiate, That if necessary I will contact head office in a couple of days time to see if the matter had reached them.
But he did say that it has took most of the day for all the forms to be filled in as it has to go through everything start to finish, and I have to take into account xmasand new year.I know that, but as I pointed out that it was a potentially fatal mistake and I will not drop the matter and I intend to see it through.
All in the systems xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
