the best bet is we confirmed the address with them, so I think it was a behind the scenes mistake, but were have to wait and c

Sounds like they gave you someone else's prescription. I don't know but I would imagine that they are grouped by surname whilst awaiting collection.
I don't think they made an error with the prescription, just grabbed the wrong bag.
Yours should still be there.
There groupedby surname and admittadly ours is a common surname, but as the addresses were confimed either the error was in the dispensing and wrong label attached or the assistant on the front just says yes when you tel her the address.
Luckly my prescription was still there, I was really concerned as the amount I ordered (bulk up b4 xmas) and theres morphine in mind, could of been disaterous in the wrong hands.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
I have been given the wrong prescription a couple of times by my local pharmacy, which is quite shocking really, but have never thought to complain, just went back and got the mistake fixed. I should have complained though as these mistakes could be happenning to a lot of epople, and some vulnerable people may simply take the tablets they are given without checking them.
In my case, I have been given normal instead of slow release versions of my medication by the pharmacy, so they were effectively giving me an overdose!0 -
I was similarly unimpressed with Asda Opticians-never again.0

in a way im glad its not just me - but its really shocking that it happens, the thing is the error in yours and my items could be dangerous.
I dont check the items,I trust the pharmacy to prepare the right items, from now on will be checking everything at the counter whether or not they like it. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
So the label has another person's name on and is not your drug - so it's not a dispensing error, it's a handing it to the wrong person error. If it was the wrong drug with your name on, that would be a dispensing error.
But it's irrelevant, it's an error and who made it isn't your problem. They need to tighten up procedures. It's not hard to check a name and address with the person collecting.0 -
My local Pharmacist means a delay of about 1 hour from handing in the prescription to getting it, and often they don't have the stuff you need. Best to go elsewhere.0
