MET parking  at SOUTHGATE Macdonalds/Starbucks Car park Stanstead didnt defend my apeal to POPLA  and they simply cancelled it:  There is a petion people can sign which may help put a stop to this extorition - I've shared it with everyone i know via email.

I found below via a google Search and it was actually on MSE Forum!  I adapted it accordingly as it's quite lengthy and repetative but good data.  I was Keeper not driver.  

The notice was due to somebody parking in Southgate Car park which apparantly doesnt allow visits to Macdonalds -  once parked there anyone would find it difficult to leave the carpark without the register recieveing a letter asking them to pay £100. Daylight robbery.

We are with you, but there is no need for a petition! The law about private parking operators and the right to independent appeal is already being changed. We just need your help to get lower parking charge levels (and a ban on extortionate DRA 'fees') over the line.

It is no secret that the DLUHC is already working on re-publishing the new statutory Code of Practice, which they have said publicly that they will do AFTER the necessary Impact Assessment and Public Consultation (coming out very soon).

Are you aware of the upcoming Public Consultation and ready to respond to it?

Don't disappear in the New Year.  It won't be published before Xmas, but it is imminent, so keep your eyes peeled in early 2023.

Just checking you and your family/contacts are among those ready to respond to the questions about the extortionate level of 'parking charge' fake fines, as you have personal experience of how this feels?
