Virgin Money Cash ISA transfer

I have a Virgin Money cash isa on a terrible rate. I tried to transfer it to Skipton Building Society cash isa but this failed and total value returned to Virgin. I then opened a Virgin 1year fixed cash isa and tried to transfer my old Virgin isa into it. I cannot get hold of Virgin by phone and filled in their confusing online transfer form which doesn’t list my sort code for both Virgin accounts, but the isa has not been transferred.Any ideas please as time is ticking on and I am losing interest (and the will to live). Thanks

Here's what Virgin say
"To transfer another Virgin Money Cash ISATo transfer an online Virgin Money Cash ISA into this new ISA, just send us a secure message and we’ll take care of the rest."1 -
Transfers can be done that way but people don't seem to be getting a very good response to messages sent if any. I am not trying to talk badly of Virgin but right now, that appears to be how it is. There a numerous comments on here about it along with complaints not being handled that we'll.
So, for someone new looking for help, I think the OP is in a difficult position.
I think they are going through a bad patch and really hope it's temporary.
When the OP states he cannot get hold of them by phone, why is that?
I know call wait times are long but if that's the only reason, I would go out of my to wait and see what they tell them.
It would be interesting to know why the money failed to transfer to Skipton and even though that might prove to be a good thing rate wise, I would want to know for future requests.Yeah, cheers but nah, I will stick with yes, thank you and no.
Thank you.2 -

In my last call they confirmed to me that my three week old request was 'high priority' but properly set up and just subject to their 'delays'He did however say he would make notes on the system that the ISA team should backdate interest to my original request.Might be worth trying that ?

It might make things worse but they might get the message.

Requested maturing virgin is to be transferred to new virgin isa on 24th October by secure message as instructed. Still no transfer done. Spoken to them twice and told iti s in hand and interest will be backdated. Absolutely useless. Would not suggest anyone using them at the moment.0

Would not suggest anyone using them at the moment. It seems external transfers in (which I'm guessing might be largely electronic/automatic) are happening reasonably quickly - but anything that relies upon a 'person', such as internal transfers, currrently has horrendous delays.Tomorrow my internal transfer will hit 4 weeks - and as my 'first' complaint was lodged on the same day as the transfer request, it will hit the second FCS deadline of 4 weeks - should have had an initial acknowledgement within '5 business days' (did not happen ....) then an first 'response' within 4 weeks (and if not resolved, why it will take longer, up to the 8 week deadline .....)

I have tried innumerable phone numbers for Virgin. I have also tried branches, Clydesdale and Yorkshire bank. Each time I get the "the number you have dialled had not been recognised" . I am now worried as I am in the middle of an ISA transfer to them and wonder if the bank is in trouble.

I really think Money Saving Expert should investigate the inability to make contact with Virgin as they still appear as the best ISAs on the website1

There is no info or rumours of any type that they are in any kind of financial trouble.

MSE just highlights those with the best rates and nothing else. Many other providers go through periodic admin meltdowns, especially when there is a lot of switching going on . According to other threads Vanquis are hardly answering the phone at all. A few weeks ago it was Shawbrook etc

That is only 16 days and probably only about 12 working days at most. So normal. I think 15 working days is the recommended maximum .
Obviously they are overwhelmed, which is frustrating , but it seems unlikely anybody will actually lose out in the end.
