Quickly updated to reflect a change of plan - the sun's still shining but it's snowing now!! Nope, it's turning to hail... a-baking I shall go! Candles are in an easily accessible place as it's blustery, calm, blustery... oh, who knows, the sun's still shining but the windows are getting spattered with rain now!I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Afternoon all! Happy to see my mojo is wending its way southwards, via a sweaty dancefloor in Brum; glad it's having a boogie on my behalf but it won't half be hopping when I finally get my hands on it
Thanks Lollopy BTW - I've talked myself out of quitting before I've restarted
Janey, your charity shopping has reminded me, there's probably a lot of barely worn M&S stuff out there in Oxfam (due to their promotion and my mum's compulsive shopping habit:rolleyes:) so might be worth a look? I'd already decided that I might treat myself to a charity day tomorrow :T
We've had a lovely day so far, spent the morning at my gym with OH and came out feeling all refreshed (helped by a good night's sleep, first in ages - probably thanks to shiatsu from OH ). Now chilling out on the sofa under 2 duvets with the PC and yesterday's paper while OH fixes his bike on the lounge floor (don't worry, we haven't decorated yet so bare dirty floorboards). Have a great Sunday afternoon everyone, and I hope you're having a wonderful birthday Lollopy :beer:The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Elantan...Good luck with your therapies. I've had Indian Head Massages in the past and they help my migraine no end!
Marky....The person I was speaking of runs a pub with her OH and shouldn't be short except that ever since I met her 16yrs ago, she and her family have been pants with money and seem to borrow what they can from everywhere. Her OH doesnt know the half of it, he's only been with her for the last 2yrs and I'm sure he doesnt know that she owes me. It's my own fault for being so soft, to the point that I ended up being short myself, to help her out! Haven't seen her for about 6months, but that suits me, and I've written off the debt as I was sick of the excuses. Plus I don't have to hear her pleading poverty, then showing me where she had booked for her hols! Rant over...I needed to off-load...thanks mate!:D
Off to work my last shift for almost three weeks:j :j due to annual leave. Toodle pip for now!;)Living a frugal retirement without treading on the planet :T

BTW, any PBers out there, they've sent an email to get an extra 20pps - all you have to do is click on the link and it gets credited straight away (make sure you're signed into your PB account). Whilst mentioning them, how many clicks are peeps getting a week? I've not kept up with the PB thread recently, only seem to be getting 3 I think... need these points for OH's surprise pressie! The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

It's almost as bad as when we had the house fire and my first thought was as I watched all the fire engines hurtling along the road...."Thank God I've just tidied up and emptied the dishwasher :rotfl:

Yep I'm like that too - I remember seeing on the news a lorry had gone into someones house and the side had fallen down  . My thought was not what a lucky escape they had, or how much it would cost to put right.... but how it was a good job she had made her bed! Not that it tranlates into me having a tidy home
Nyk I was thinking earlier about you saving to but a house and I thought I would share my heart stopping moment - when I paid my deposit and all those savings I had spent years building up were suddenly gone!
I was going to post on another board about only being able to buy because its shared onership and I wouldn't have been able to afford this if I hadn't been saving for ages (and this flat isn't as nice as the flat I was renting - I think because this was built by a big company and the other by a couple for whom it was a personal investment), despite having a graduate job and very small debts from uni. But I haven't because the more I read the more I got fed up with its RANTING on and on. So you've got it instead. Coz you are all lovely:T
