Have been outside tying everything down
I know the storm is supposed to be a lot worse further south but we have been caught out before.
You would think I was getting ready for visitors :rotfl: I've hoovered and dusted right through the house, made chocolate cake, cleaned the fridge and put fresh sheets on our bed.
What am I doing it all for
It's almost as bad as when we had the house fire and my first thought was as I watched all the fire engines hurtling along the road...."Thank God I've just tidied up and emptied the dishwasher :rotfl:
No wonder men don't understand the workings of the female mind :rotfl:
Maybe its because if the power goes I won't be able to hoover and who needs an excuse to make a chocolate cake
I was going to stock up the log baskets but DH has thrown all his new tools on top of them so they are inaccessible at the moment.

Afternoon everyone
Started out quite nice here, so we ventured into the garden. Got about 10 minutes into the dig and got bombarded with hailstones, so that's put paid to that. Except that the sun's come back out and it looks lovely out there now, hmm... decisions, decisions.
Mumzy - I update my signature every day, so it tells how many days are past and how many days still to go, if that helps. This is definitely week 10, as it's day 70 tomorrow - 10 weeks since last cig and almost £90 in the bank towards my garden and livestock fund :T
I think I'll go mix up some dough for rolls and then pop back into the garden while it's proving. It looks so nice out and I've practically given up on the free eBay listings, as I just don't know what to list.So much for the clear out!
I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

mumzy fire started because of an electrical fault in the roof. I was in at the time but got out OK. It has had a really bad effect on me though. Not that I'm scared to be in the house on my own but it shook me up so much I couldn't return to my job.
But, blessing in disguise as I have a new job which I absolutely love.0
