hya everyone.......dont know whether to say good mornin or ..... as its a late night post, goodnight..... can't sleep.

am definitely goin to join the great declutter thread cos you wouldnt believe what came outta my kitchen cupboards,

Can I just say am definitely goin to have a car boot sale to claw some money back. have never done a car boot but AM DETERMINED!!!!!

Car boot sale scheduled for late April ( I hope)

I chatted to my neighbour re the drunken fence and we're goin to come to an arrangement.....My joiner would probly be able to fix it but apparently the fence has been ther for at least 20 years and parts of it look really rotten (the parts that are still not listin at a 90 degree angle!!!) dont know if that analogy is quite right........been a long time since I did Math

oh and btw my DS didnt forget Mothers Day, it was kinda funny, cos we were both working today. I was up with the lark....well....up with that lark that doesnt wake up till 9.30 am :rotfl:

and DS had only had about 4 hours sleep....oh to be young again!!!!
....and he said.....Happy Mothers Day....... I had to leave your card and present in the car (at his mates cos my DS had been drinking)......

but I didnt care at least he wished me Happy Mothers Day...and that is definitely what matters. I told him it doesnt matter whatever you've got me all I need to hear is those 3 words ( if anyones interested he bought me the latest Dean Koontz book....and as Dean Koontz just happens to be what DS loves readin at the minute!!!!!):rotfl:

ITS THE THOUGHT THAT KOONTZ!!!!!! :rotfl:

Anyhow back on topic another NSD ....

.will really really promise to update my sig to incorporate spends for Feb tomorrow......( so says my alter ego Scarlett )

Mini....you poor thing. I get night like that when I can't sleep!

Didn't finish work until 9.15 and was up at 5.30 this morning, in work at 7, so this is a quickie.

I had some great stuff for Mothers day. My kids are really helping me out as they know about my frugal pastime/way of life and got me things that they knew I NEEDED!:D I had two tops for work, a large bag to put all my nik-naks in so that I dont have to mess about with plastic, a high street voucher, for which I was jumping about with joy as though Id won the lottery! All I could think was...." I don't have to break into any cash with this voucher now"!;) And of course lovely flowers...I need them to brighten my day, and erhem...chocs:o

Well I have to rush off as I will be late for my first call. Catch up later!:D

At other places on the route it's actually cheaper to get an all day all buses ticket, rather than two singles. That surely can't make sense.
Yes, it's cheaper for me to get an all day ticket since they stopped doing return fares here. The price of that varies according to when you buy it, so I rarely go any time except Saturday.

    Morning everyone:D

Still windy here today, my greenhouse has been a major casualty over the weekend so will have to get OH to have a look at it when he gets time.
Lunch today will be lovely veg soup which I made from yesterdays left over veg (and a few roasties) along with a chicken sandwich ,chick also left over from yesterday. Will be using HM bread so a frugalicious lunch for me and OH today:D
Will still have some chicken left so may do jacket potatoes and coronation chicken for tea tonight to use it up.
Hoping for a no spend day today as don't intend to go anywhere other than work.
    Have a good day everyone.

Woah there Nyk, there will be no proposals from me! :D I've tried to talk myself out of it but I can't - the fact is, I want to be asked not do the asking! Don't hold your breath though peeps, OH is v young (24;))so it'll be a while yet... We're thinking about kids in a couple of years (before my body packs in completely :rotfl:).

Right, I've got my pepper seeds out but have no kitchen roll to put them on - I was thinking loo roll but might get messy once it's wet, any better ideas anyone? And do I need to keep them in the light or dark? :o I can't believe I don't know this stuff...
JumbleBee, thanks for the advice about the jumble sales, I'm going to see what I can find out.

    Hi everyone,

Glad you all enjoyed mother's day - I was very frugal and made my mum a card! I hope she doesn't mind the lack of present, but I did make sure I posted it in plenty of time so she knew I hadn't forgotton. They are moving soon, so I thought she didn't really need any more clutter to pack anyway.

Time for my Feb update - I'm really pleased with myself! Target for month - to spend under £333.33.

    Totals:

    Petrol £40.05
Clothes £0.99 (new buttons to cheer up an old suit, how frugal!)
Food £122.97 (aim was £120 - nearly there!)
    Toiletries, hair etc £20.98
    Household £13.98
    Entertainment & fun £68.61
    Hobbies £17.15
    Gifts £7.36
    Transport £32.30
    TOTAL SPEND: £324.39

So I did it again! Just... Next month won't be as good as it is boyfriend's birthday. Being very restrained on the present buying front though, which isn't like me at all.

Hope everyone else managed their targets, but even if you didn't I bet you saved a packet just by reading this board anyway! I went over on groceries, but 6 months ago I would have spent double that and not even noticed.
Debt at highest Nov '06 £17,822.98
Debt at LBM Nov '07 £14,231.63

DEBT FREE as of 01/01/09 now I have savings!!

Myumzyof2 £2.50 for a day rider! How lucky you are. Having checked the figures I can actually get a day ticket which covers the whole Midlands for just £4.40 which is therefore cheaper than my two single and "only" a 26% increase on the day return we used to get for £3.50. Thanks for making me check that - I'm sure my wife has been buying 2 singles.

lingojingo Day tickets here are the same price all the time - no "off peak" ones unfortunately. But on other routes in the area, despite generally having got rid of return tickets, they offer a return for the price of a single off peak. D'oh at the inconsistency and the fact we live in the wrong place!

    Have a nice week everyone!
