Oh how I bet you've missed my weekly shopping update lol.... well there's no update cos I've not been shopping, I've been too busy shuffling the credit cards to be bothered to eat, that lessens the cost of grocery shopping!
Spent the evening at my parents and just about to head for the train station..
there's 37p left on the electricity key so probably will have to put a fiver on tomorrow.. bang goes my 7 in a row NSD's lmao.. :rotfl:

You'd be the first to join with a target of under £1000, that's for sure! You could be the example of how to slash the cost of living for all of us here who are aiming to become rent & mortgage free!

Final post - today I spent nothing.
During this evening's frugal cookathon, I used two thirds of a bag of savers plain flour, a desertspoonful of dried yeast, an ounce of lard, a couple of teaspoons each of sugar and salt, 2 apples, 2 tablespoons jam and some leftover mince.
I now have: -
1 large jam tart
1 apple pie
1 mince pie
18 finger rolls
2 large round breakfast rolls
Total cost including cooking time = less than £2
Washing now on and am having no problems whatsoever with the soapnuts. I think everyone will be receiving samples in their frugaling gift packs that I'm planning on sending
Hope it's a good day tomorrow, have chance to go out a Sunday drive with someoneI reserve the right not to spend.

DgraigGoch Nice try fellow frugaller but ......how big were the logsThought you could beat me did you?
CA well done you. I a trying to work up courage to add up my spends this week but I think I need to lie down first or hide where Mother Nyk can't see my red face
:hello: Hello to all our new challengers. I suggest that as your are still Fledgling Frugalites, you skip my next post as it is a sad sad tale of a Frugalite whose shopping addiction was re-awakened after an intended Frugalistic Foray into Mr T's :eek:0 -
Oh Mother Nyk forgive me for I have transgressed the cardinal rules of succesful frugalling.
When I entered the great shiny beckoning shopping emporium AKA Mr T I confess
1. I was hungry.
2. I had DH in tow
3. My Debit Card had sneaked from its cage and was snuggled softly in the folds of my purse.
At first I was free from temptation. Don't buy newspapers of flowers. Then, as I approached the clothes aisles, there were many Mr T employees who had strategically placed great racks of clothes with "75% off" emblazoned all over them. (It actually said "Up to 75% off but I had a moment of selective blindness).
I bought 2 tops at £3 each (were £9) and a pair of boots for £15 (were 30). A pair of tights (£3)...not reduced.
Things went rapidly downhill from there, not helped by sending DH off to the meat section to get some ham and him coming back with an armful  You would think I would have learnt by now
By the time I got to the till, I had accumulated a bill of £112.79. With money off vouchers this came to £108.93. And I got 120 extra points from re-using bags and clubcard coupons.:o
Oh dear, dear me
I am going to go through the bill and see what I can legitimately leave off my spend but I need a rest first.:rotfl:
On a lighter note. Went to my leaving do last night and had a great time. Lovely friends bought me a huge Gothic dragon for the garden which weighs a ton and will look wonderful. I am thinking of a name but can't come up with anything suitable. Any suggestions appreciated.
I spent £12 which I don't mind and DH donated money for 3 bottles of wine :j That is why DH will never be rich and one of the reasons I love him.
Off to re-coup some of my disastrous fall from Frugalism by taking my washing to put in with my Mum's in the commercial washing machine she has the use of.0
