  • Wow thats an essay title and a half  Good luck I am sure you will get it sorted in no time ;)

I have spent £4.66 today as needed cheese and a few bits but also got to send DH out later to get milk as me and the kids have somehow got through 4 pints today  As for my baking day I have made 2 x quiches (my mum said she used to reheat from frozen so I guess either defrost or cook is fine!) and the Dora buns have all but gone  so I have had to hide 2 to keep for DH! Will have to make some bread tomorrow now too :D

Maybe I should follow Nyk's idea and get a cow for the garden :rotfl:

Will update spend later once DH has been to the shop ;)

Now for the music bit, hmm... 1900 to 1940 - we had the entire first world war, a 20 year gap and then into the second world war, so money (and lack of) would certainly have been an issue, what with the great depression and all that. I'd say that music to the people then, would be like MSE forums to people now. It's all there ...
Just listen to the lyrics, the tempo and the beat,
It's history to music, not squiggles on a sheet.

It opened up an entire new world where individuals were given some freedom to express themselves and learn through music... How's that as food for thought? :D

Well done slowly fading and hugs to everyone having bad days!
I've been in the kitchen too today I've made mushroom soup and some bread rolls. Had to nip out for some eggs earlier 90p for 6 but when I got home all but one had cracked! I needed the egg straight away so couldn't take 5 back. Off out tonight (date 6) but shouldn't cost me much as he's picking me up. Have a good evening all :T

SlowlyFading, could you not quote the title a few times in the body of the essay, with only a few hundred words to go you'd only have to write it out about five times and you'd be there? ;)

'Pah' to problems... they are only sent to interupt the good times and make us appreciate more.

Now THIS is so very true!! Having been seriously ill for the past two years +, this is a sentiment I can truly echo - all the way through I have tried to see it as an 'opportunity' (and yes, that's been ridiculously hard someimes). It's given me the chance to reevaluate everything and I appreciate so many things I took for granted previously. It fully deserves to be a quote in a sig! :D

Well done girls on finishing the essays, I'm sure the 1,000 will whizz by now! :T
