House insurance and pet insurance today totalling £35.51 but other than that it should be a NSD. I've started to make a list, it's got 5 things on it at the moment, I'd like to try to get to Saturday or Sunday before I really need to spend 'real' money.
Umming and aaahing about what to do for dinner tonight. It's mince - can't do lasagne as I have no milk to make the white sauce, can't do cottage pie as I have no milk or butter for the mash. Had bolognaise a couple of nights ago.....think I'll do chilli, plenty of tins of tomatoes and beans to put in it."Stay Wonky":D

Good morning
well apart from dd's which i will include when i get a bank statement ive still only spent 4.17 so feeling very very pleased with myself, ive 'gained' £60 which was for me to go out with next weekend (not had a night out since my split, thanks dad)
im feeling good about this at the moment, just hope i can continue as the months roll past at the moment savings i could end up with is enough to keep me going, im hopeing that seeing the amount there in my bank account will inspire me some more, my biggest spends really will be when the boys need shoes, not a worry this month, as for me untill my boots let water in, i dont need new ones.DFW nerd club number 039'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' :money: i will be debt free aug 2010

Spent £5.64 yesterday - £2.65 on a sandwich (reduced) and drink from Waitrose for lunch, and £2.99 on toilet roll from Spar.
Don't know if this is a national or local Spar offer but it was 9 rolls of Quilted Velvet - and it was £1 cheaper than the Spar own brand pack of 9!. Think I'll go back today and stock up (using remains of last week's budget)

Just spent £12.45 in the Boots 75% off sale. Very little left, didn't realise it started today, only picked up on it from an earlier post in the thread (sorry, can't remember the poster, but I have thanked)
I'm pretty sure I don't have more DD's now until the 1 Feb, so it's just knuckling down now and seeing how little I can spend over the rest of the month.
to hit my target of a £300 maximum, I only have £62.09 left (ouch) but I still have a frezer full of food, enough petrol for at least a fortnight and i've nothing socially on the calendar.
Batten down the hatches - it's gonna be a long one!"Stay Wonky":D

Hopefully a 'NSD' today. As tea is all ready and waiting back home. I know it is a daft subject, but I'd just like to recommend to all the Tesco value toilet roll. I was once a loo roll 'snob' (only Andrex will do), but I have been using the tesco value loo roll for six months now and wouldn't go back. Its about 12 rolls for £1.99 or less, I can't remember. What I do is everytime I buy a pack of 12 I work out what it would have cost me in Andrex and put the difference in my savings jar.GM Credit Card balance - £895.69Mortgage - £67499.17 - MFiT no. 123Make £10 a day - April 2008 - £158.75/£3000

Good morning ladiesssss...not sure if we have any gentlemen on the board..but if we do...good morning to you too!
After spending the last few days perusing MSE for hours on end, doing very little housework and not seeing much daylight...I have decided to ration my interneting to 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the evening...I am getting a bit addicted so need to nip it in the bud. :rotfl:
Today I plan to make cottage pie, chilli, and savoury mince with yorkshire puddings from a bag of mince I have. That will be three evening meals sorted.
I am having an indepth hoovering session also...with three labradors the carpets get hairy very quickly.
It would be a no spender today if D/H wasn't going to the barber to have his hair cut...but it's only £7 and he doesn't ask for much else. I did ask him if he could wait until next month as it would suit MY budget better :rotfl: but he already looks like Captain Caveman, so I relented.
Keep up the good work folks!

Good morning, although it is almost afternoon! Today I am feeling rather pleased for absolutely no apparent reason other than the fact that I love how much everyone on here is getting involved in this challenge. It really is amazing.
On the health & beauty subject - I'm allegric to hairspray and many perfumes/makeup so tend to steer clear of them and just go for that 'natural' look. However, I am starting to send off for those free samples of 'pretend you're younger' and 'disguise your wrinkles' creams. And I'm usually tempted by a discounted wash in tintThe thought also crossed my mind to cut my hair if anyone was game enough to pay me a tenner an inch during a fundraising event but I chickened out :rotfl:
Back in a mo, I still have my site timeout problem for slow typers
OK, the cupboards are still pretty stuffed full, but I'm needing more milk (or a cow or a nanny goat in the garden!) The sun is shining and I can't decide whether to dig the garden in preparation for the potatoes (MrsMCawber's fault, she puts my gardening skills to shame :rotfl:), have a cooking blitz, do accounts or make more papier mache banks in an attempt to 'catch-up' with a major over-spend when I pay the balance on a grossly underestimated electricity bill.
Back later, once I have checked the bank for payments, been for milk and opened whatever post arrives. Hopefully the £50 winnings cheque from the premium bonds :TI reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Wednesday are my favourite day of the week as I am at home all day :j so I'm going to spend it in the kitchen doing lots of baking. The plan is to make a couple of quiches & apple pies, a fruit loaf & rolls in the breadmaker & maybe a couple of cakes. So I will catch up with you all later as I must switch the laptop off or I won't get anything done!:o
Hope Wednesday goes well for you all
Thanks this inspired me to go and make some quiches :rotfl: do they freeze ok once cooked? Do you then cook from frozen or defrost first???
Also made some buns with DS1 which will do for tonights 'pudding'
Was also going to put the breadmaker on but DH has put in on top of freezer where I can't reach even with a chair :rolleyes:Sealed pot Member target £200 - No. 151

was buying tesco value its about 44p for 4 rolls, but when i had nearly run out i was in wilkos picked up there cheapest (rightprice) at 60p for 6 rolls, its just that little bit nicer and is just as soft (i think) as a supermarket own brand, non value one)DFW nerd club number 039'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' :money: i will be debt free aug 2010
