Buying and Selling On Vinted - blog discussion

I only offer RM as my postage option, as being in a wheelchair it's the only one I can get to. The amount paid by a buyer covers 48hr tracked postage. This way you have a tracking number to pass on to your buyer, and you get paid quicker because you have the proof that it has been delivered 😊
One other thing that has not been mentioned in any of these posts is the topic of returns. You can't return an item for a refund because you changed your mind about it, or you didn't like the colour of it/ it didn't fit/ too big/ too small, or you have found it cheaper somewhere else. In these circumstances, it's Vinted's Policy that the buyer "sells on", in other words, you list the item yourself and sell it. The seller is under no obligation to accept a return, although occasionally you will find a seller who will accept the return, but the buyer has to pay the return postage.
However, if you receive an item that is broken in transit, or SNAD then you can report an issue to Vinted, who will then suspend payment until the problem can be sorted out. The seller has to refund the buyer if Vinted agrees with the evidence given, either with or without the seller sending the item back. The buyer still has to pay for the return postage.
There is only a short window of time to raise an issue after a parcel has been delivered to you (48hrs)
