Do you use Credit Card or Debit Card for all day to day spending?

Both, at present. Whichever gives me the highest cashback, and I don't use the debit card if I want Section 75 protection. On the rare occasion when I need cash, I use the debit card, never the credit card.
As soon as the cashback on my Chase card stops, I will revert to credit card only, where I get between 0.5% and 1% cashback, depending on card and retailer. I don't like to leave even small amounts of money in current accounts that don't pay interest, and I hate it when a debit card purchase fails because there is not enough money in the account. Goes without saying that I pay my credit card off in full each month.0 -
Credit CardI get a direct debit out of a credit card, not to mention at least a month's worth of extra interest on the money I spend on the credit card. The only exception to this rule is if I get more cashback by using a debit card.0

Debit CardI always use a debit card (actually googple pay on my phone). I used to use a credit card but into a bit of a sticky situation so I just use a debit card now.

All my small/day-to-day purchases are in cash, of course withdrawn from my current account with my debit card.
I don't, however, use the debit card function on said card. I have a Marbles credit card which is used for larger purchases and in cashless cafes/bars etc.0 -
I'm using Chase, but now interest rates have risen I'll probably get a 0% on purchases credit cardI consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0

Credit CardCredit card for everything that accepts it, paid in full and on time. Would rather get points/airmiles of some sort rather than nothing if I paid via a debit card.
It's a shame that my local council (in one of the top 10 wealthiest areas in the country) insist on debit card only payment for council tax, claiming the cost of credit card transactions. Yet it has still cut services and have slowly crept up charging times and amounts in its car parks, removed a lot of public bins etc.
Looking briefly a lot of councils accept either debit or credit card with no fees or restrictions, so I guess they need to get a better negotiator or card merchant agreement.
