Did you fully switch out before £125 offer started on 1 November ?I was referred the first time in April this year so the switches were pretty close together.0 -
No. I started my switch out shortly after they launched the £125 switching offer. The switch out completed on 14th November and I applied for a new Co-op current account on 15th.bristolleedsfan said:

You have the copy of the T&Cs in pdf format, marked in the margin of the last page with a reference number and date? The previously highlighted discrepancy between full T&Cs and landing page information might come in handy should the situation evolve, i.e. if they say holding a Co-op current account at the start of the offer period is a disqualifying factor.

Thanks for pointing this out. I've kept print outs and PDFs of the Ts&Cs of both switching offers and if they edit the website I can always use the wayback machine. Every letter I've ever had from Co-op is all filed away somewhere and I never deleted a single email from Co-op so I can easily find any reference numbers I could possibly have.masonic said:Bridlington1 said:

Once I've received a reply from the secure message I sent them I shall be complaining.0 -

Hot off the press.
"4.1 We can withdraw this offer at any time and should we choose to do so, we will update our website with the final switching date on which we will honour any payments."
No idea where this info is.2 -
It's rather confusing and profusely frustrating of them to announce the withdrawal date but not the final switching date, whilst linking the terms and conditions which make crucial reference to "the final switching date stated at the time of withdrawal" (the key cutoff point for eligibility), yet the final switching date is nowhere to found in the notice for withdrawal.
I guess we'll just have to wait until "the time of withdrawal" before the final switching date is actually "stated".0 -
My sister received the same response from Co-op as Bridlington1 today for her switch that completed yesterday

She has responded back to the email (and will do a secure message if bounces) asking why she doesn't qualify when other people have been give both Refer a friends, as nowhere in T&C's are there any dates quoted excluding who is classed as a new customer and the 3.6 statement about only being referred once is not clear to if it includes all previous Refer a friends or this specific Refer a friend (which we understood it as).
She switched out on the 4/11/2022 and so if they are classing them as existing customers because of this, then it is wrong as nothing stated on T&C's so a complaint will follow.1 -

It's starting to look like it is the definition of a "new" customer that is causing the issues. Anyone who held a Co-op current account when the offer was launched seems to be excluded from the offer.masonic said:youngretired said:She switched out on the 4/11/2022 and so if they are classing them as existing customers because of this, then it is wrong as nothing stated on T&C's so a complaint will follow. While it's only n=2, it is notable that the only two people so far to report being refused the incentive held a Co-op current account at the time the offer was launched.Has anyone who held a Co-op current account on 1st November successfully received the incentive as the referred customer?
Has anyone who received a Co-op refer-a-friend bonus after 1st June 2021 (the date specified on the previous refer-a-friend offer) who did not have a Co-op current account when the current offer was launched managed to get £125 this time around?0 -
me and OH accepted for new account on 7th November. neither of us have the actual account yet and found out on the 5th December (after i rang for yet another update) that they closed our application because of their "28 day rule" even though their incompetence and lack of communication is why we're where we are (we had notes on our accounts stating the current situation).Ed-1 said:
