My outcome was similar.
My wife switched a sole account into her sole account in 2018. That apparently is enough to invalidate me switching a sole account into our joint account.
They also invited me to lodge a complaint which I have done.1 -
A prompt reply this morning with £50 compensation offered and an apology for their error. A fair result in my opinion.33q said:
Despite receiving my confirmation stating I would get the bonus by 23/12 I had still not received my bonus by then so I messaged them.33q said:Switched 31 October. RBS essentially the same bank paid really quickly so I felt the need to check when payment is due and importantly to confirm I am eligibleReply came back that I’m not eligible! So no Bonus. I had switched previously in April 2018 but I thought it was earlier….my errorThey invited me to complain if not happy….so I have…nothing to lose
I will update on the outcome0
