Yes, my husband gave me the money to pay off a huge chunk of debt, and now I'm a gibbering, nervous wreck that I'm going to cook up some hair brained scheme! @CMD79 I agree with beanie and hazeldreams - remember the thrill from buying stuff doesn't last very long at all before you forget about that thing and start wanting the next thing! I find a "not now" or "not today" way of seeing it helps, as in when when the urge really hits it helps to think "I can't/won't buy that today, but maybe tomorrow", so you give yourself a bit of breathing space to maybe buy it sometime, but then when tomorrow rolls round you say the same thing to yourself, "Not today," and so go on postponing indefinitely. But you know this stuff! You don't need me to tell you xxx 4
