You must be on for a decent total yourself Sue as you are very consistent with your potting.
I found a nice 2p roadkill this morning. Added a couple of pound coins to the pot too

Oh wow, where has the time gone and how is it almost time to declare???  Hopefully will get some last-minute eB*y sales in!

Been a difficult couple of months - hubby is finally due to start treatment on 23rd (so I might have to declare early @Sue-UU so as not to forget, if that's OK?).  He'll be an overnight case, and is having targeted chemo into his tumour.  Hopefully the combination of the two things will mean it's dealt with in just one treatment - he'll have a scan about a month or so later and that will determine whether it's OK or he needs more treatment.  If he's OK, then he'll be discharged back to heptology dept for ongoing routine scans to keep an eye on him.  I just hope he gets to stop feeling rubbish all the time, although he's soldiering on and still working.  Unfortunately we can't afford for him to stop work on medical grounds, although work did put together a package for him.

While all this was going on, one of my schoolfriends of almost 40 years who I've also worked with for almost 20 of those years, passed away at the beginning of September.  She'd been off work since June (when we last went out together) with what we thought were *just* MH issues but it turns out she was a functioning alcoholic and her liver had packed in.  Did not see that coming, but so many things make more sense now.  I was also visiting her in hospital when her doctor came round and told her and her partner that if she didn't start responding to treatment she was going to die.  That in itself was a reversal of the situation just over 8 years ago of when she was sat with me when I was told hubby was likely going to die from sepsis.  Would never have believed that role reversal was going to happen in a million years.  As it is, she died 5 days after that.  She was 51, and 3 months older than me (always a running joke between us - and I don't get to say it any more).  I don't think any of us at work has really processed it yet - partly because of WFH and she had had so much time off work in recent years, in some ways it's just like she's off ill again.  And on top of that September is our busiest time of year (she always did have impeccable timing #joke) and with our manager also off with stress at the moment, there isn't any headspace left for anything else.

Anyway, we're looking forward to getting hubby sorted - just planning our wedding anniversary trip to our favourite Indian restaurant for the week before as his procedure is the day before our anniversary and for some reason that penny has just dropped.  And hopefully we'll be able to take a mini break or something because we both need one!!

Stay well and take care all xx
