You must be on for a decent total yourself Sue as you are very consistent with your potting.

Oh wow, where has the time gone and how is it almost time to declare??? Hopefully will get some last-minute eB*y sales in!
Been a difficult couple of months - hubby is finally due to start treatment on 23rd (so I might have to declare early @Sue-UU so as not to forget, if that's OK?). He'll be an overnight case, and is having targeted chemo into his tumour. Hopefully the combination of the two things will mean it's dealt with in just one treatment - he'll have a scan about a month or so later and that will determine whether it's OK or he needs more treatment. If he's OK, then he'll be discharged back to heptology dept for ongoing routine scans to keep an eye on him. I just hope he gets to stop feeling rubbish all the time, although he's soldiering on and still working. Unfortunately we can't afford for him to stop work on medical grounds, although work did put together a package for him.
While all this was going on, one of my schoolfriends of almost 40 years who I've also worked with for almost 20 of those years, passed away at the beginning of September. She'd been off work since June (when we last went out together) with what we thought were *just* MH issues but it turns out she was a functioning alcoholic and her liver had packed in. Did not see that coming, but so many things make more sense now. I was also visiting her in hospital when her doctor came round and told her and her partner that if she didn't start responding to treatment she was going to die. That in itself was a reversal of the situation just over 8 years ago of when she was sat with me when I was told hubby was likely going to die from sepsis. Would never have believed that role reversal was going to happen in a million years. As it is, she died 5 days after that. She was 51, and 3 months older than me (always a running joke between us - and I don't get to say it any more). I don't think any of us at work has really processed it yet - partly because of WFH and she had had so much time off work in recent years, in some ways it's just like she's off ill again. And on top of that September is our busiest time of year (she always did have impeccable timing #joke) and with our manager also off with stress at the moment, there isn't any headspace left for anything else.
Anyway, we're looking forward to getting hubby sorted - just planning our wedding anniversary trip to our favourite Indian restaurant for the week before as his procedure is the day before our anniversary and for some reason that penny has just dropped. And hopefully we'll be able to take a mini break or something because we both need one!!
Stay well and take care all xxSPCNo.18 #20 (17 £562.86 16 £678; 15 £1120.92; 14 £416.53; 13 £191.52; 12 £260.48; 11 £480.95; 10 £682.31; 9 £442.64)

Happy counting ladies & gents hope you all have a nice amount xI've had a poor year money-wise this year Ant, to start with our dear Jessie sadly had to be part down at the end of February, and we all know just what Vets charge! 😯 Also we needed him to come to the house, partly as she hated the Vets and she certainly was in no state to to be taken there anyway. Also we wanted to bury her in the garden along with our dear Sally & Kelly.Hi SPCers! I hope you've all had a smashing weekend and will enjoy a good week ahead. To any of our members out there who are feeling poorly, or low in any way, please get better soon. Get well soon. Love & best wishes from us all. ❤️Also what with the Cost of Living still forever keep on rising, it's just been a very tough year we've struggled with. Still, we've at least got some we've been managing to save, but long gone are the weeks we've managed to save some every week!Well done for you having found a couple of £1 coins!!By all means declare early MrsShazbat, it'll be so much easier for me if folk can save by the 26th, otherwise it just drags on and on and with keeping both the threads going it can be a bit of a bind. 😒Oh I do so hope your hubby can be dealt with in the one treatment and then go back to the Hepatology for future scans and he can soon be discharged! I sincerely hope him feeling so awful soon passes, poor chap. His boss/bosses would surely be extremely mean if he weren't to help your hubby financially, at a when he's suffering so very much! Obviously, this is something that has affected you both terribly, but with all that you've said about your friend, you in particular have suffered a whole host of troubles on top.Keep looking ahead MrsShazbat and looking forward to your hubby's good health. All the very best of good health to your hubby on and after the 23rd. You be sure to be kind to yourself.Love and very best wishes, Sue xxxAn excellent way of saving LMD!! 😘Yes, the days are speeding round Saver-upper, but brilliant news you've another £20 potted, very well done!! 😀MrMrsR So sorry I forgot to reply to your post right at the TOP of the page. Here is the reply belowHello MrMrsR Don't worry if you haven't quite finished your filling your pot. If you do still wish to go ahead after half-term then please come back and Declare on this thread SPC Pot Challenge ~ 16 and Delare your Total. Oh goodness @MrsShazbat, you’ve had a bit of a rough year. Take time to look after yourself. Gentle hugs to you.A great total @mummytummy - an awesome amount.I’ve just had a payout from TopCashback of £51.25 from our holiday earlier this year. I thought it was too good to be true, but it definitely wasn’t as it’s now potted! Great that I can add it to this year’s total too. 😊Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared5
